2) No surprises that the Swans yet again outdrew every nRL game in Sydney this weekend, and they did it against
Fremantle. f AFL is dead North of the Murray, how wold you describe nRL South of it?
Swines
22K at the ground ... & 35K on FTA TV ,another 12K on pay
69K all up
NRL in Sydney this weekend
42K at the ground
& about 650K on TV , both fta & pay
692K all up
it aint a comtest
Swines are actually averaging less at the gate then in 2012 ( which was there lowest average since 1995)
& they're the fucking premiers
F me
whats gunna happen in 2014 when they don't even make the prelim finals this year
Vicky Kicky
no signs of life in Sydney

With a redevelopment and still no blockbusters at ANZ played yet, I don't think anyone is actually concerned. Once they've played the blockbusters at ANZ their average crowd will rise above last years total, and in 2014 when the redevelopment is complete it will rise again.
By the way fuck head, it was 55k on 7mate not your made up bullshit figure. This does not include the tens of thousands watching on Fox Footy as well. Ahhhhh

One of the highlights of the rugbies is the fast break.
Yet again on the W/E we saw another facet of Australian Fooball being exhibited in exciting fashion.
The Swans booted the ball into an open forward line and Jetta accelerated past the Collingwood opposition, picked up the ball at speed, ran further and slotted the ball through the big sticks at full pace. A bit more to it than rl whereby somebody gives you the ball, you run a bit and then fall over the line. Seemingly the skill is in not dropping the ball whilst doing so.

Yeah, there's nothing fast from an English sport littered with overweight thugs!

Looks like fans agree
AFL Kicks Goal in the field of TV Ratings
- The Australian
- May 27, 2013
- by Micheal Bodey
THE commercial appeal of sports broadcast rights is being emphasised by audience growth for the AFL this year.
The two AFL broadcasters, Seven and Fox Footy, have experienced substantial audience growth for their telecasts this year, with Fox Footy ranking as the top channel on the subscription-television platform for seven consecutive weeks and Seven's AFL audience up 11 per cent for its first seven rounds.
The rise isn't confined to blockbuster matches however, with Fox Footy's live audience for all AFL matches up 10 per cent on the same time last year, from an average of 205,000 to 225,000.

fumblers look like they need a hamburger or something .. & lope around like lolly legged gimps

getting in front of this at full tilt & trying to stop it
debate ends ....... here !!

Yet you have no proof of them being faster. It's one thing to be fast, but you also have to be fit. This is where the AFL smashes the nRL. You have lightning quick players like Dangerfield and Jetta who would run 20 rings around obese nRL players like George Rose before they could say "Where's my meat pie?" K Hunt and Folau couldn't believe how fit you had to be to play the Australian game. I still don't think there's been a game where Hunt hasn't cramped up at some point in the match. His days of a fatty diet and little exercise ended when he quit thugby.

its one thing to be fit
it doesn't make you fast .....
this is where the VFL is exposed as the sham of a sport it is
that larry jet boat or whateva his name is .. only LOOKs fast
that's because he is surrounded by slow loping lolly legged trotters
he would be eaten alive in an NRL back line ... as he would not be faster then anyone out there
& seeing as he weighs what ?....30kgs
he'd be killed in the physical stuff when surrounded by 100kg plus speed demon giants
RExonas greatest athlete exposed the VFL for what it is

With the recent dismal crowds not watching rl it is shown once again that Australians see the spectacular in Australian Football.
Not that is was spectacular at the SCG but 25k braved the worst ever conditions to see a real contest.
Meanwhile where conditions are better the plethora of spectacular high marks, long goals, freaky goals and goals on the burst continues to enrapture fans.

So how does this "national embarrassment" keep smashing you in crowds week in, week out?
