Isnt 30-35k the swans avg crowd? Surely they can surpass the normal swans avg crowd for this trumped up battle of bridge! Alas though stewie I cant agree with your crowd prediction. I think it'll be 25-30k because the normal swans crowd wont be keen to bother watching what will essentially be a non-event.
No, 25k is.

. If they get 30k this will be a great effort and again embarrass the NRL in their won heartland =D>
.
it will be a fucking embarrasment
the Swines are the premiers

where are all those people who were in that parade after they won last year .... all those eastern suburbs latte sipping bandwagon hopping fuckwits who probably never went to a swines game all year ?
where are they
its their first chance to see the fumbling bumbling & missing premiers since their GF win ... its at a great time of the day
in early , home early
or even pop ova to the show afterwards for the night while you're there

the Swines could get 40K plus , by themselves .. against anyone at ANZ , just a few short years ago
& thats when they weren't premiers :-k

here we are in 2013
against the most hyped up sporting team in this country with the full backing of the VFL ... in the midgets
Sydney's other side .. the tsunami , they've never had a bad word written about them
its the marketing machine in full swing here folks

up against the VFL premiers in the Swines

I mean you'd think it sells itself

& talk of 30K is considered a great turnout

:-k

So 30k is an embarrassment for the reigning premiers the swans, when it isn't even their home game? :-k

How are the storms crowds of 11-12k at their home grounds? :-k

Oh Dave, more hilarious self ownership!

one can only compare the past with the present to gauge growth , decline .. or holding ones own
the Storm have never really had big support at the gate ..... they have held firm with their numbers

can the swines claim the same ?
the same being what they achieved as premiers in 2006 when playing a big game at ANZ

marcus ?

hes pointing the microphone into the crowd isn't he ?

no he isn't :-k

a fuckstick
 You don't actually have to point a big microphone like that at the crowd to pick up noise you dunce! #-o

Raiderdave
a R*etard

wouldn't it be more beneficial to actually point it in the crowds direction if thats the effect you were after ?
and yet its never pointed at the crowd , its pointed away from it :-k

spewie
an utter fuckstick
There would be regulations preventing them shoving a mic into the crowd as it would disturb people and ruin their view. Besides, a large mic like that doesn't need to be pointed at the crowd when it will pick up their "noise" anyway.

If Raiderdave thinks a crowd of 30k for a Giants home game is a big concern, I'd hate to see what he thinks of the Storm reigning premiers getting 11k to their grand final rematch.

But its about growth....oh wait, the giants average was 10k so that would be an increase, and the storms average 12.6k, so thats a decrease...

 ahhh hang on a minute. Aren't they playing at a venue which is literally a handkerchiefs throw from the swans home ground at anz? Or are they playing at anz? either way we really aren't talking about an away game in a two AFL team city! Such has been the dunderheads ploy down at AFL hq. 30 k would be embarrassing. I fear it'll be less... Oh dear whatever happened?

That's irrelevant. Swans members don't get free access

It means preferential seating is for the giants and the expensive memberships the swans fans pay for wont get them in. Of course it affects the crowd size

One game? Sorry but I've been to countless games now. My comments are based on consistent observations as well as countless reports from others observations. It's true as mate. True as.
