I live in this "city" too. We're already up to over 3,000 Canberra members (as announced at the Manuka Lights unveiling) BEORE the Canberra NAB cup match has been played. Last year the numbers here boomed after the trail match/family day. At this time last year GWS had under 5,000 members TOTAL (across all regions). Your claim that numbers in Canberra are down does not in any way correlate with reality.

I am a signed up GWS ACT member. Last year I (AFL zealot that I am) dragged as many friends as I could to each game (never went with less than 7). Four of these friends thus far have signed on as ACT members in 2013.

they were at nearly 5K members down here in 2012 ( albeit cheap 3 games packages ).... & are at just ova 3K ATM ( article was posted in here somewhere )

barely at 55% with not long til the season starts
midgets in canberra .... missing the mark already after just 1 year

They haven't had their NAB cup match/family day in Canberra yet. We're tracking WELL ahead of last year, as we were on less than 5,000 members TOTAL at this stage in 2012.

Whats that got to do with my example above? ANZ stadium gets crowds of less than 10k for NRL.....the swans seem to pack it out easily enough
