The ACC were never going to disclose specifics because their investigations included waivers. They gave the details of clubs etc to the codes. They said they were trying to find a legal path for the codes to disclose the details after the complaints about little information. The AFL announced some specifics today.Striker wrote:Because it wasn't the ACC making the announcement.

Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
The ACC were never going to disclose specifics because their investigations ARE IN THE HANDS OF THE COPS you mean! And they aren't done yet either! The AFL can't pre-empt anything without approval from either the ACC or the cops or even both! So where's the approval and confirmation? Nowhere. So it's not done, at all.
Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
No, they specifically said they were never going to disclose their results. They gave the specifics to each code. Didnt you read today's papers? The NRL media demanded specifics. The AFL announced theirs to the extent they could. They named Essendon which was obvious, and described another player at another club, without naming names. They also said that no illegal gambling was identified.Striker wrote:The ACC were never going to disclose specifics because their investigations ARE IN THE HANDS OF THE COPS you mean! Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
And you believe the AFL? You are being sucked in. There's a whole lot more they aren't saying. Cover up. The AFL is in just as much trouble as the NRL and you are participating in the cover up. I don't believe the AFL and their media suck ups, and I fucking stand by it. If you don't like it - TOUGH!!
Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
Do you think maybe the ACC might say something about the AFL claim if it was lies? Interesting how the AFLs announcement backed up the teles story this morning.Striker wrote:And you believe the AFL? Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
If the ACC said anything the confidentiality of their specific results would be comprimised and the AFL know it! They'll shut up until the whole thing is sorted, including the cops investigation, the NRL's and whoever else's.
Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
Do you honestly believe the AFL is making this up.? Why when they would be contradicted in a matter of days.Dont be ridiculous. The AFL as always handled this beautifully.Hop on the front foot make essendon come out and go in to damage control before the rest of Australia even knows thers a problem. Now we know its only essendon and one other and Im positive the dons will be fine.If Dank says nothing and the boys say nothing then there is nothing simple. But the useless NRL commision will let this fester until it pops then go in to damage control.Thats the way they operate.Fukn amateurs.Striker wrote:If the ACC said anything the confidentiality of their specific results would be comprimised and the AFL know it! Essendon outed themselves. The other club and player hasnt yet.Striker wrote:If the ACC said anything the confidentiality of their specific results would be comprimised and the AFL know it! http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/AFL-su ... 6574835887But it was not until Sunday, when federal Justice Minister Jason Clare said any AFL or NRL clubs under suspicion could out themselves, that the AFL confirmed Essendon were the club named in the ACC report for alleged multiple breaches.

They won't be, until the cops finish their work.pookus wrote:Why when they would be contradicted in a matter of days.
Where there's smoke there's fire, and Dank is suing the media by the way so he isn't the problem!pookus wrote:Now we know its only essendon and one other and Im positive the dons will be fine.If Dank says nothing and the boys say nothing then there is nothing simple.
X, you just proved that the AFL are lying for convenience and Clare (the idiot and another reason we need a new PM!) was out of line with that. He gave the AFL an open door and they took it because we knew about Essendon already!

Not sure how youve proven the AFL have lied.

There are people everywhere discussing this topic. Youre the only one stupid enough to suggest the AFL would lie about a report that will be public within days.

Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
Yes they are, otherwise they'd be talking TODAY! The AFL is lying because the ACC made it crystal clear on Thursday that the infestation went across multiple sports and it was bad across the board. Eventually all fans will twig over the lies.
Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
They made it clear multiple sports were involved. They never said it was equal across the board. The tel has said the NRL are the primary code targetted.Striker wrote:Yes they are, otherwise they'd be talking TODAY! The AFL arent silly enough to lie. What would they achieve by doing this?

Re: NRL The Focus of ACC Investigation
The AFL is implicated, with an entire team (Essendon) and a single player at another club (unknown at this point) investigated for PED use. The AFL have today officially confirmed that our code wasn't the subject of match-fixing investigations by the ACC. That leaves the nRL, as FFA, ARU and CA haven't been accused of anything specific in the report. For this reason alone, the nRL is in far more strife than the AFL. On top of this, the nRL has had clubs and players investigated for PED use (no confirmation as yet how many clubs or players). Unknown at this point for both codes, are the numbers of players accused of illicit drug buying by the ACC.Striker wrote:Yes they are, otherwise they'd be talking TODAY! To suggest that the AFL is lying is just bizarre and flies in the face of the facts we know (and we can only use the facts we know to inform opinions, to do otherwise is ******; in all things, not just here). But we'll know for sure as the ACC and both codes will release further facts this week to end unfair and defamatory speculation against teams and players not implicated by the report. Until then, all you're doing is desperately hoping that the AFL is inexplicably lying about a very, very serious matter.
