They had 55-60k turn up a few seasons ago, how long since the Port Hobart Demons (aka Port Brokelaide) played in front of a home crowd that big?
Cronulla's biggest non finals home crowd is a pathetic 25k in 1978. Port Adelaide's highest non finals home crowd is 50k in 2002.

Their home crowd average begs to differ. Their highest ever is an appalling 16k

In a 20k stadium with stuff all seating and or roof on most stands, that's fucking outstanding if you ask me especially seeing as the sharks have never won anything and are always kicked in the gutts by everyone when they're down.

Good fucking luck to the bridesmaids for once, just don't pillage Parra's juniors to do it.

Tell this to Raiderdave. Do you think earning more revenue may benefit clubs by allowing them to afford better stadium arrangements? Apparently earning more isnt beneficial, its all about how much you save

They are lucky in that they own their ground and over the last few years it has slowly been transformed, give it a few more and no one will recognise the ground and you can bet the sharkies will be filling it up.

As for you bit about money, well I think it's good to make as much as possible, but I also think you need to save/invest wisely, so I'm a bit of both.

The Sharks will never move and if they move any games, it'll be to the SFS because of demand only, say like a match against Saints while both in the top 2 heading into the last round.

Of course you need to be wise with spending but earning more will always be better because it gives you options. Even port Adelaide would have a far larger football revenue than most NRL clubs. Their problem, like other smaller AFL clubs, is keeping up with the AFLs many super clubs. But to suggest port Adelaide are on the brink of collapse is folly. Equalisation in wealth is the AFLs next challenge.

A better stadium deal at AO is the most crucial thing for us atm. A 28,000 breakeven like we have now isn't going to cut it.

Unfortunately early indicators are that the breakeven number isn't going to be much better at AO. Time will tell though.

If this is the case, there will be riots.

Even if this is true the crowds both teams should get at a modern and more centrally located stadium should be far higher.
