the VFL gave them extra moneyXman wrote:their business arm is for what? Additional funds? Financial security? The raiders lose money despite spending only 12m![]()
hows Port Poopelaide's other business activites fairing ?

helllo ?
anyone there ?
.
Well they are the smallest team out of both the AFL and the nRL. What sponsors would want to be associated with a club that barely even has a 10k average crowd and practically no FTA games despite being finalists? Well done nRL for remembering the small clubs like the lil RaidersXman wrote:their business arm is for what? Additional funds? Financial security? 50% of the Raiders budget is handouts from the NRL and state government. Their earnings from attendance, memberships and sponsorship must be miniscule.
Wow, good news for the Demons. Wasn't expecting that to be honest. Well done Melbourne. =D>Xman wrote:The Demons on Monday reported an operating profit of $77,618 and a statutory profit of $19,486 for the year ending October 31.

I expect most of the small vic clubs to about break even. Just the Roos to go now and I expect them to make a small profit. Out of the Non vic clubs only Brisbane and Port will struggle. I expect both GWS and GC to both make small losses (but I could be very wrong lol).Beaussie wrote:Wow, good news for the Demons. Wasn't expecting that to be honest. So the AFL have 3 expansion sides losing money, all of which are on the bottom of the ladder, and Port Adelaide, who are also failing on the field. Almost every other club is making ends meet or excelling.Raiderdave wrote:piesman2011 wrote:I expect most of the small vic clubs to about break even. GWS & GC would make the losses the Wions & Port Twatelaide made .... look like chump change
if their set up & ongoing costs were factored in
200 Million to get both clubs off the ground & this will need to be ongoing for a long long time
just because VFL wears this .. doesn't mean it shouldn't be considered as its money that belongs to the game
VFL ... in dire straits
all 16 NRL clubs to be in the black in 2013 ... those that lose .. lose very smallXman wrote:So the AFL have 3 expansion sides losing money, all of which are on the bottom of the ladder, and Port Adelaide, who are also failing on the field. What about the NRL? I wonder when their clubs release their financial details for public scrutiny? It sure would make for hilarious reading!

an extra 3 Million per year from next year will end that & put profits on their bottom lines.
meanwhile another 6 VFL clubs on top of the 4 who posted massive losses in 2012.. are holding staggering debts they can't service
VFL .. doomed
