id suggest the majority of the world know RU as the real rugby. RL plays second fiddle to RU in virtually every country theyre played

RU is way ahead in England, wales, scotland, ireland , SA, NZ, France, etc etc

why, are you challenging the claim? You only have to look at how competitive the RUWC is. Many nations can win. Essentially only Australia can win the RLWC. NZ won but thats a complete embarrassment given its a minor sport in a small country.
