It's called interpretation. (been a law in Union for years)

The outrage is from RL fans, players and coaches. All we are doing is sitting back and laughingStriker wrote:Pussy whipped my freaking arse!
El's right. This will all blow over. All this decision will do is throw the emphasis back onto tackling, good and hard. That's what the game is all about at the base and banning the shoulder charge will make little if any difference. Yeah it's exciting when it happens, but how often does it happen? Really, it's just a simple alternative for someone who can't tackle. And I think if anyone can't tackle they shouldn't even be playing league!
yeah, funny that!ParraEelsNRL wrote:Yeah looks like we are all blowing up.
more tinfoil hat stuff from our RL membersParraEelsNRL wrote:Yep, and if you like, I can show you a union forum where a heap of the posters voted against the SC just to make it out that more were upset.
I wouldn't be surprised if a heap of you here and at Big Poofy done the same thing.
Oh well let's just throw a party huh, X! Like freaking politicians, polls mean nothing. This is a knee jerk reaction only and it'll calm down when those who voted in that poll realise that they're complaining about nothing, and it'll help league in the long term.Xman wrote:yeah, funny that!ParraEelsNRL wrote:Yeah looks like we are all blowing up.![]()
I linked a poll which showed 53% of NRL fans disagreed with the change.
What's the matter parafeel, trying to talk logical for once because this is the big fail for rl.ParraEelsNRL wrote:Because a lot of people don't sit back and think before posting, sport is emotional and people tend to jump straight in when it comes to their sport without thinking things through first.
I hate the rules being changed, but I can see why they are doing it, NZ has banned SC in their local comps for over a decade or close too, other countries have done the same over the years, for once, it's the NRL behind all the other RL playing nations on this one.

Yeah they use the word "risk" a lot. Didnt i say before people who play contact sports are aware of the risks and choose to participate for the enjoyment and fulfillment it provides vis a vis the 'risks' associated.
As is highlighted in your article, "The other thing is even if you don't hit the head, there can be major damage to the rib cage and the organs behind the rib cage."
So as I suggested earlier again, shall we ban marngrook and RL now Xman? Because there can be major damage to the rib cage and organs within? I've told you this before chumpo but me thinks you're following the wrong sport and/or dont actually understand the sport you follow very well.
xman wrote:KE, why is an even comp important?
my point is the sport needs to consider long term affects of injury especially with unnecessary contact like a shoulder charge. In todays litigious society they could suffer if a player decides to take it further.King-Eliagh wrote:AhhhXman wrote:yeah, about players and risks. Seriously Xman, there's a thing called personal responsibility. Generally this comes with adulthood, but some 'adults' dont actually have/understand it, such as yourself and the dumb NFL players you cite
