50K at the A League, I think they will be lucky to break 35K. They got 40,351 last year and that was the Harry Kewell factor, he has gone now and so has his novelty factor. "50,000 at the A League, tell them their dreaming son".

Over 42k, the second-biggest crowd for a non-final in Australian domestic soccer history
Well done Melbourne =D>

800k watched the game in Melbourne this year. In 2006 900k watched. Not sure how a drop of 100k people is a 'boom'? But in any case, what I find rich is the fact that throwballers are eager to claim code supremacy off of the GF, and completely ignore the larger sample size of - oh -
every single game in the regular season.
I also note that the Victory had a crowd of 42,000 last night. For the record that's almost 10,000 more people than the highest Storm crowd ever (which was a preliminary final btw). But keep telling us the GF ratings have nothing to do with Melbourne's superior love of sport.

because in 2009 .... 685K watched you dribbling halfwit .. is maths not your strong point , cos thats a rise of over 100K on their last apperance
a more intersting fact is the 2006 vicky kicky GF attracted 745K in Sydney ..... this year ... just 609K
oh dear

hmmmmm... well I note the soccer crowd last nite was 14,000 less then the biggest Rugby League crowd in Melbourne this year ..SOO I .... & for the record .. thats the biggest attendance of any sport at Etihad in 2012 , & in fact .. is bigger then any flogball attendance at the ground , ever !!
.... but so what eh?

So a once yearly event, the pinnacle of your game, managed to beat an A league crowd by 14k. Well done!

Means nothing because the game sells out to the public regularly at etihad.
The AFL had over 20 games this year with a higher crowd than the pinnacle of The NRL. Poor poor nRL!

LOL the dumbfuck is talking about ticket prices now? What about the AFL prelims costing double the nRL's Raiderdave? And the nRL could only get 13k more even with 2 NSW teams playing...
