Don't be so obtuse, man! You can hardly compare a suburban backyard to a full blown stadium! But you can compare two stadiums at elite level.
57k is always better than 25k, unless the lesser is sold out. The size of the stadium may effect atmosphere but more is still better for many reasons
ah Marcus ... what a **** you are
if it were only that simple ... & of course .. it is not

as I have quite rightly pointed out
we need to consider some other factors

members
zero at AAMI
10,000 at ANZ

the away teams
20,000 Collinsknob fans in Sydney
500 Manly fans in Melbourne

the promotional budget in each city
NRL .. :-k I dunno ... $20 ?
VFL .... jesus .. 8-[ . $250K ?

again
the Storms crowd was quite satisfactory I'd say for the NRL
the swines crowd in Sydney ... a disaster

all you have to do to get the real story where the VFL is concerned .... is peel back the layers of BS
to reveal the truth

the fact is Dave, the AFL final attracted ANZ members and many fans from an interstate club. The NRL final did not and even failed to get hald the fans despite tickets half the cost.

Spin it any way you want, the AFL final made 3 times the money and attracted over double the fans. It also won the ratings with over 2M viewers.

:D

Clearly based on past experience, they had no faith they would have got a better crowd at the MCG or Etihad.

And we should have! At Etihad I think we would have drawn 35 to 40.

Remember when the excuse for bad crowds was Olympic Park Stadium. 'Once we move to our new stadium crowds will explode'. Now that they've moved to a FANTASTIC city stadium, the excuse for poor crowds is that they should be playing at Etihad.
