You're right but RL often has atleast half full stadiums and more. As with the AFL, except a little more often. Example. The MCG holds 90k odd, how often is it more than 45k full? I'd guess about half the time?

There's no excuses for the shocking behaviour of the fans Xman. And it looks like the AFL/VFL have the most shocking fans in the country. Just look at our AFL'Warrior' for example. He's confused goods, thinks he's a 'warrior' and all. I'd imagine he's started a few barneys and had his block knocked off on more than one occassion.

45k may be less than half empty mcg but the vast majority will be seated in the club members or the public seating. The MCC and AFL members areas will usually be far less populated. Therefore there will still be a tightly packed group of supporters sitting together.

You only have to look at the recent racist incidents from both codes. The AFL had one racist clown who was reported by a player on his team and other fans, and banned. The NRL had entire sections of their crowd racially abusing the opposition team on mass, even involving racist signs! they got off Scott free.

The AFL is also far more family friendly with a greater proportion of females and children attending games. No wonder. The game is far less of a thugs game than RL!

The facts stand folkd. AFL/VFL have far worse fans than NRL/RL. Noones been able to provide any evidence on this case apart from me. However we do await piesmans research. Until then we're likely to hear pie in the sky stuff from fools such as xman and tlpg...."whole sections" indeed!

An AFL crowd of 35k (average) would have a substantial proportion sitting in close proximity in the public reserve.

Is the average NrL crowd of 16k bunched together?

Yes a substantial portion of the RL 16k crowd would be sitting close. Especially so given RL stadiums are generally smaller than marngrook ones. But there just aint much trouble in RL crowds, they're good eggs, not like many of those AFL followers, just shocking stuff.

But since 2002 the AFL have had 7 incidents on that list and the NRL have had 4. These exclude 2 racist acts by NRL fans, and one by and AFL fan.

So if it's 8 v 6 in the last 10 years that makes NRL fans much worse!! Why? Because the AFL have over double the fans!

So the answer of course is NRL fans!
