It's conversations like this that remind me why I don't bother too much with "the fight club." It doesn't matter what facts you lay down to these idiots, they never agree that you have a point all they come back with is some misconstrued version of what they believe to be true and that's that. Homebush and Lidcombe may have been western Sydney 100 years ago but get with the times western Sydney is now a lot further out west. Expecting to get these AFL types to get with the times is expecting too much. Guys it's 2012 not 1912.

Western suburbs are Greater Western Sydney, KE. The only difference is that GWS includes the south west.

It's the opinion of the entire population of Homebush, Flemington, Licombe, Auburn and Granville!! If they aren't western suburbs then what are they? They sure as heck aren't inner west that's for sure!!

Yes mark an excellent post. Very true indeed actually. These bumblebrains lower the moral standing of the FC as they cant agree that you have a point. To honour a good shot is something men do and its something less likely with these clowns amongst the scene. Even beaussie doesnt frequent much round here no more.

most love the term inner west. in fact nowadays to live in the innerwest represents more class than your traditional working class western suburbs. its even becoming quite snobbish and posh nowadays in many inner west suburbs.

I'm with you on this point TLPG. Homebush Bay where ANZ Stadium and the Sydney Showgrounds are located is part of the western suburbs under Auburn Council. Are people here trying to suggest Auburn is part of the inner west suburbs of Sydney such as Newtown, Petersham etc. FFS.

Meanwhile Sydney Olympic Park at Homebush Bay is reported on the Western Sydney Business Access website. Strange wouldn't you think considering some here are suggesting it is part of the inner west.
