Wow 13 thousand is really bad, even for the NRL. I am surprised at those numbers for the Swans. :o
I know that the weather has been bad this week but 13 cant be all down to weather.
There is something going on here, i am starting to think that GWS are going to have a massive effect on the Swans financials this year and for years to come.
AFL teams need a minimum of 20 thousand just to break even. :o
I am still pinching myself 13 wtf.......
I said before GWS came into the comp that the 1 million the AFL are paying Swans as compensation for GWS entering the comp is not enough and is not going to make up for lost gate revenue that GWS will steal from them, the way things are going for the Swans it looks like i was on the money. :D

Combination of the weather and the SCG undergoing refurbishment.

No problem.

I seriously cannot believe a RL fan is claiming 13.5k is bad! #-o You're code averages only 3k more!

Didn't 11k show up to a SYD v SYD match this weekend?

Of course some fans will go to the giants.

But you only have to speak to fans trying to get into the ground that now has limited public access. It's definitely an issue this season.

The capacity of the ground is expected to be reduced from 45,000 to 34,000 at the most disruptive stage of the project.

Please its got nothing to do with refurb and all to do with GWS stealing there support.

Herp Derp TPLG

You are dreaming, Eel. Give it up now. The capacity is down by 11,000. Add the weather factor and you have your explanation. If you don't want to listen to facts just say so.

Needed to be said.

Capacity of 34 thousand and the home crowd average is 20 this year down from 30 in 2010 when GWS road into town, evidence is clear cut.

In your warped mind it's "clear cut". In the mind of reasonable people with common sense, it's clear that the weather combined with the refurbishment is what caused the 13,000 crowd watching the Swans.

Live with it. Any statement otherwise is biased - which is typical of you thugby supporters.

Exactly. $78 for a ticket in the nose bleeds is ridiculous as a result of the redevelopment of the SCG and reduced seating capacity (just ask KE about that  ). One must remember, the limited seats available are already for the most part allocated to Swans/AFL and SCG/SFS members. Add the atrocious weather and the poor form of the Bulldogs in 2012 and it's not surprising how many turned up.

Still, it's more than many NRL games attract crowd wise in Sydney and Melbourne. :P
