that'd be the Thuns crowd
Thuns
bye bye

Comparing a round 1 friday night game of RL in Sydney to an AFL practice match on the GC! Thats what you are forced to do by what was an absolutely disgraceful turnout by RL fans for a blockbuster!
How terribly tragic for the NRL!

a pre season COMP match that was
free entry
against last seasons premiers
on a fine night
yep
fair comparison
the Thuns
see ya

Prove it was free entry!!
Either way, the game has little interest because it's purely practice. This is the case every year!. The crowds are always down by 50-70% for these games! Next you'll be claiming the NRL is more popular because they get more fans to their games than AFL training sessions!!

WTF are you on about!!!
How does full season membership numbers relate to preseason practice matches???
Collingwood already have 50k members. Do you think they get 50k to preseason games?!?!

You want to compare pre-season with pre-season.
New-look Gold Coast Titans score an 18-16 trial win against Brisbane Broncos at Pizzey Park
February 12, 2012
GOLD COAST 18 (M Minichiello 2, J Rankin tries; S Prince 3 goals) BRISBANE 16 (G Beale, A Glenn, D Copley tries; P Wallace 2 goals). Referees: A Devcich, C Sharpe. Crowd: 7252.

They should if it's free entry to members.

Yeah and training sessions are free to enter as well. It means nothing! Every AFL preseason game has drastically reduced attendance compared to season games. FFS, the AFL season hasnt even started yet! The teams play juniors or reserves. They try new tactics. The rules are even different. It aint an exhibition game. It's purely practice.

11K was a fair turnout in the conditions considering it was live on TV ...
wanna bet that 11K is still smaller then any VFL game outside the centres named above by seasons end ?
i think you won't have the jubblies to make such a claim

BS all BS! You have no link for that crap. The NRL got 600k from 7 million viewers yet you are telling me that the regional audience of 4.5Million rated another 600k!!!
Fudge fudge!!!
11k is a fair turnout is it??? Maybe for the NRL it is.

were'd the other million go ?
12.5 Million live in NSW .. the ACT & QLD last time I checked

Either way, 7million in Syd/Bris/GC could only muster 600k. How do 5.5Mil rate the smae number?
Fudgy fudgy!
600k for a rnd1 blockbuster where the game was relevant to both markets is shocking!

There you go again Raiderdope, trying to justify your lowly code by comparing to AFL practice matches. What's next? Team meetings?

Focus Raiderdope! I never said it was. But comparing full season games to practice matches is as desperate as it gets. But you're on a role. Why not include AFL training sessions and team meetings, if that makes your code's dismal attendances look better!

11k! Rnd 1 Friday night! 11k!!!!!!!!!
