Sydney & brisbane got about 1.7 Million for our GF

as consistent as you can get

Yeah, interesting.
The AFL GF gets about 1 million for regionals, or over a 1/3 their city ratings. Yet their other games like finals only get 5-10% of their 5 city ratings.
BS!!
thats the strongest argument for their being something sus with regional ratings
5 times their normal club game rating for the GF in the regionals
it would barely be half that
RL ratings are fine of course
as proven above...

So i'd really like to know your explanation for this. Regular H&A AFL games average 700k on FN yet never get acknowledged as having any appreciable regional audience. Even AFL finals which average 1Mil seem to get only regional audiences of 100-200k. This is clearly rubbish when the AFL GF rates at such higher proportions, yet the NRL GF does not.

It's the very reason why I don't go out of my way to publish the flawed regional ratings on this site. At the end of the day, as you've shown clearly here, they are absolute BS.
Oh and besides that, the metro tv ratings are the currency for tv rights, programming etc etc. All the decisions are made by broadcasters in the capital cities. Not out at some far flung regional affiliate.

maths isn't your strong point is it ?
700K is the average for flogball friday night games in the metro areas ... essentially .. Melb Perth & Adelaide
a catchment of 8 Million plus
about 9%
giggleballs regional FNF average is about 100 to 150K that is counted & an extra 80K or so in the areas that aren't counted
out of a population of about 2 Millionish
guess what % that is ........... thats right ..... 9% to 10%
the NRL's average is about 9 to 10% of its available metro audience essentially Brissie & Sydney of 7 Million
& its exactly the same for its regional popualtion of 5 Million
about 9 to 10%
it is eerily .

......... accurate

FNF doesn't tell the real story. The whole weekend tells the real story, and that's that the AFL is winning.

all ratings are down on Sat nights & Sundays when compared to Friday nights
but its proportionate to FNF
RL winning on Sundays on FTA .... & hammering on paytv.. on Sat's
RL cannot be beaten on TV for ratings ... we have too many people in our states who prefer it to all other sports
its just the way it is..........

IMO more BS from Raider. Looks to me like another BS point for Raider and B&S point to the challenger. Anyone want to take him down?

And all this comes tumbling down when the AFL GF gets 1 mil regionals.

Glad you agree the regionals are a farce! Nice one.
Interestingly, the cumulative figures suggest the AFLs regionl audience is about 2/3 the NRL's. I bet that hurts.

1/200 odd games .. we'll forgive them inflating the AFL's GF audience in .. ONE game
you guys cry now .... I mean imagine the ranting if the truth about the GF came out too... that you lot get pounded every year
& its not 2/3
our regional audience is more then twice the AFL's on average .... more then ......twice

HAHA, everyone knows pols are more accurate with larger samples.
http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/leag ... 1ln6r.html
Regional free-to-air figures for the NRL the past two years were 38 million. The AFL's were 23 million this year
That's 61% champ.

I said about 2/3. You said half. I think 61% is closer to 66% than 50%. Agree? :D
