Almost spot on parra but they need reserves, usually its four on the interchange list. So it'd be more like a 3 team comp
Oh yeah and cos you put cambodia in twice. Hows their teams fairing of late anyway? Haven't heard much about them in the media?

AFL win. Again. Because the NRL cowards refuse to fight on fair and just terms.
Scaredy kittens posting in numbers for protection!
Hilarious!
So where are your numbers? You can't hide them now the way things are being done.....oh but of course. You're scared to because you know they don't stack up!
Cos listed the countries we've beaten you on (and he pointed out on the USA thread that there are 76 clubs playing AFL there alone! So much for this just managing 18 a side BS!) and you're running a mile because it's all there in individual packets so you can't deny them!
As I said. AFL win. NRL cowards are just that.

I'm sorry nswaustralianfootballleague,
Perhaps I didnt make my point clear. I'm not interested in AMATEUR international comps, or a better way to describe it in the Aussie Rules context - comps with small numbers of fat expats running around on goat tracks kicking balls at Rugby League posts.

No

i'm just not interested in that as a viable credible comp o/s, because, quite simply, they're not viable or credible, or many other things for that matter.
So my numbers you ask for? Well off the top of my head I dont know how many professional RL comps there are o/s but I'd guess quite a few. I do know the number of professional AR comps there are o/s though. Diddly Squat

A big fat ZERO

a donut

a bagel if you please

nada, zilch, nothing!
As I've said many times before international RL kicks international AR's butt repetitively with ian thorpe size steel caps, and yooouuuuu know it!

From acorns grow oak trees, Dunce! Comps are comps. It doesn't matter if they are amateur, semi pro or pro. As long as they are formally organised and they battle for a premiership they count. You can sook about it all you want. You can't change the fact that the world is embracing the game of AFL, and that's why you're wrong. The battle is close and we are gaining ground on the world stage through countries that RL doesn't care about. And they should.

The acorns you talk about in many countries arent ones that will grow. I'll tell you that now you silly pumpkin head. I know, I've been involved. Its a bunch of transient expats who are not in it for the long haul, completely unsustainable in the vast majority of countries shown. Or if it is sustainable, it is only sustainable at the shoddy level it is currently being played.
Are you completely delusional? Do you expect a thriving comp to grow in Bahrain with thousand of spectators coming to view this amazing new sport in 10 years?
I mean comon nsw, you're comedy is getting old now.

This is not comedy. The game is growing and that's a fact. Get used to it.

I never said its not growing. Again I'll acknowledge this. Yes I agree its growing, but the rate at which its growing is, well, disappointing. Not one professional comp outside this country and tbh I dont think there's one coming. As I suggested in another thrad it would be good to change the name by taking australia out of it.
Now time for you to get used to something. International RL kicks international AR's butt right? Comon be a man and just acknowledge the difference, otherwise me and the other RL fans will continue to mock the shite outta international AR.

No you are wrong. The battle is relatively close. Professionalism has nothing to do with it.

RL has the momentum of large pro comps and a long history of highly organised comps o/s.
AR has the momentum of small amateur comps and a very short history of largely very amateurly organised unprofessional comps which are not like a regular amateur season in Aus and often require structural changes such as 9 players per side to allow games to even take place. If you're excited about that then you're a jolly excitable lad, good for you

Not in the big picture, Dave, which you refuse to see. RL is ahead, but not by as much as you think.

And to throw in something to the mix regarding 'organised' sport. In my game for amsterdam vs paris (two of the 'bigger' teams on the international stage I'd say) there was no need for registration. It was just a broad aussie accent saying "throw on a singlet and boots and giiiit on out there mate, and then we'll have a beer after". And I did just that

And as a player with only 2 seasons (not in 1st grade)experience from back home I excelled, dominating my opponent (from perth) in the paris side. :D
For fun? Definitely
Organised? Naaahh
Competitive? Naaaah
A "sausage sizzle n beer exercise"? You betcha :D
By the way Cos, you know if there's a rematch between amsterdam and paris going on around june july this year? I should be back in the dam and would love to strap the boots on again for them. I guess though there would be next to no chance they have arranged anything that far ahead though...?
