Also U16 teams in division one and two.
thats 9 teams
we're a step away from total domination
Well well well ......welll
Cronulla JAFC 9 teams from U9 to U16 with two U16 teams.
Cronulla JRLC 14 teams from U9 to U16 with two U16 teams.
Well well well.....................................well
Let's see only a 50% improvement will see AR overtake rl.
Currently AR is running at 80% for this club.

Well that really puts holes in your rl player numbers.
Auskick numbers at clubs are similarly members of clubs. They pay registrations and play a season etc.
the only difference is the format of the game.
Yet we don't count them as players. We count them as Auskickers being so young.
The Auskick programs run at schools are independant.
On top of that, in Victoria they call Auskickup to age 13, so many school programs in NSW mistakingly get put under the Auskick banner when they should be under the "modified" banner,

no they're not
they are not independant numbers when participating as part of schools clinics ... they don't have a say if they even want to take part
they may be clubs players already... but in NSW & QLD.. most are not .. & never will be
read this
There must be concern, however, that primary school-aged children participating in modified Australia Rules via school programs will not necessarily translate into meaningful support for the code. Even in general terms, caution should be exercised when drawing parallels between participation in a sport and the likelihood of people going to see that sport live at an elite level or watching matches on television. If the committee were to accept that participation were a precursor to a viable supporter base,
it is of the opinion that Auskick does not represent the sort of proactive,
voluntary, participation that the AFL can depend on. Australian Rules football is barely played at club level in the area, and the weakness of the Sydney competition is most forcefully demonstrated by the fact that the existing recent premiership winning team based in Sydney, the Sydney Swans, can find no suitable competition for its reserves team in Greater Sydney and choose to send that team to play in the Canberra competition. The Committee believes this fact highlights the weakness of the market for AFL in the Sydney Basin, and underlines the risks being taken by the AFL in its decision to prioritise this market over Tasmania.
it is a fudged misleading .. & near fraudulent way of calculating playing numbers
our minis players are .. registered club players
they voluntarily participate
they most certainly should be included when REAL numbers are put forward .. auskick & its numbers in all its forms.. should not be included.
a hole in our numbers ?
wot utter nonsense
252 teams in the shire ... how many more then 14 is that cuzzy ?

Interesting employing nic davis to coach kicking. As good a kick as he may be this move is pretty foolish and a waste of money. RL has a very different and often more creative kicking game than the AFL. RL players kick the ball on the ground (grubbers) a lot more and the bomb, one of the best tools in attacking RL, is something which would get you pulled from an Aussie Rules field and something nic davis would have little idea, compared to a RL halfback, how to execute effectively. Secondly the ball is a different size, weight and has a somewhat different shape. The use of an AFL player to coach kicking in RL is not going to help a halfback who hasn;t learnt the trade yet.

Clearly he isn't there just to teach them how to kick. They can't catch a football either. Ah NRL players.

Again, if the cronulla coach thinks his team needs catching practice, perhaps he needs to be looking for another job. I think this is a problem of the coach not the players you have pointed out here. Of course the players can catch a footy.

Yeah sure King Coward, the NRL scum can't even put a sentence together and you want us to believe they can catch a ball even when handed to them?

Clearly the coach thinks and says otherwise. His players can't kick or catch and need the assistance of a former AFL player to learn these basic skills. Too funny.
