The figures for the RSA are from 2009. Projections are for 40k.
Still 58 countries to go .No objections to 47k so far ?

projections
Yes, projections for 40k . There current figure is 20k.

Do you understand English ? We all know your maths don't add up.

Still just over 30k away from the 60k.
Where did you learn arithmetic - the rl school of addition ?

RSA 20k. (old figures)
PNG 27k.
NZ 16k. (juniors only)

NZ ... 16K :?

the annual report from NZAFL 2010... said 600 play the game in NZ
http://www.nzafl.co.nz/AboutUs/AnnualRe ... fault.aspx

based on this .....

Can you read ?
"Nationwide our current senior football community includes approximately 600 people.
The enormous base of juniors developing below our current senior clubs will require immediate attention.
30,000 participants have 60,000 parents and all are willing to play a part in their children's future"

It's quite clear that the 600+ senior players should be added to 16k juniors in structured competition.
Then there is the 13k involved in less structured programs.
I must thank you guys for bringing up the subject. I didn't know things were going quite so well in NZ.
No wonder the talk is for the next AFL expansion town to be in NZ.

Participation rates are provided by the ABS, not the AFL.
