it stinks
it stinks bad .........
Hahaha, seriously. Stupid throwball fans like yourself cheer for the Storm in the pathetic hope they may have some impact in Victoria. You lot even turn a blind eye to $11 million annually being ripped out of the NRL/clubs coffers by News Ltd to prop up the cheating scumbag Storm. All of course whilst your own clubs continue to struggle financially. Talk about ********.
Yes... the NRL turned a blind eye didn't they to the Storms indiscretions
2 premierships stripped ... 1 million dollars in fines , & their team dismanteld ....
they all but got rubbed out
its a testiment to what a great club they are they bounced back the way they did
the NRL did what they did because of its fans .. & their intollerance for rule breaking .. our fans wouldn't put up with the garbage that goes on in the AFL
the reeking mess the AFL has created with these latest teams picking the eyes out of clubs that are already struggling
so these new teams can put together sides that will only win wooden spoons ... & leaving the sides that have been plundered to still languish at the @rse end of th table
making half the comp weak... uncompetitive , boring & uninteresting
like it was in 2011
when will the fans of this sport stop blindly accepting this travesty .. a sport lacking in integrity .. from the very top

Raiderdave, how long did it take the NRL to notice what was going on at the Storm? Try "Years" and you would be correct. How long has it taken the AFL to pick up past indiscretions. Inside a few months. I rather think that shows who is really taking the issue seriously.
GWS have not breached the salary cap. They provided a family incentive, which was not included in the salaray cap until after the fact.

the AFL wouldn't have found the Storm out either
it was a systemic deception & only discovered by accident
& I think if the AFL had caught an expansion club out .... it would never of seen the light of day
the AFL would not have had the kahunas to do what the NRL did .... potentially kill off an expansion club
it was risky .. but to maintain integrity had to be done
the AFL's over bloated ego .... & it being hell bent on trying to succeed in non traditional areas at any cost including keeping this from the other clubs & fans
would be right up their seedy sleazy alley
their passive approval of the constant breaches of their own rules by GWS is proof of their disgraceful attitude
AFL.... a culture to despise
to despise indeed

The AFL would have found out about the Storm, because they have all the right checking procedures in place. No one gets under their radar for any more than a few months. The NRL have no such checking procedures, and in fact lucked out finding out about the Storm. They did what they did to cover their embarassment.

The NRL/News Ltd own the Storm. I wouldn't at all be surprised if the rorting and cheating was much worse than what was reported by the NRL/News Ltd.

Like I said
If it had been the AFL doing the Checking .... & it had been the Swans ..... or Lions who'd done what the Storm did
that big ol carpet would have been brought out
sweep sweep

News own the Storm , not the NRL
the NRL proved their strength & integrity by saying this can't stand , we know we may be killing off our only club in non traditional areas
but we take our rules seriously
the AFL continue to make a joke of theirs ...........

News Limited do own the NRL because they have a majority presence it's board. And if the Swans or the Lions broke the salary cap they would be penalised. It was the Swans that caused the salary cap to be introduced in the first place, and they suffered as a result. Why do you think the Swans got into the trouble they did in the early 1990's?

this wuld be the 49th time today you've been wrong
its an 8 man board with one of these a chairman
4 from the ARL
4 from News Ltd
the chair is alternated yearly between the 2
the Swans got into trouble because they were pulling crowds of 5K ( heading back there real quick

) ... cos no one follows giggleball in Sydney
that the reason . there is no other
the AFL would never have the nutz to penalise their expansion teams like the NRL did
their soft passive approval of the rule breaking GWS are doing right now is proof
it is a stinking cespool of corruption tis the AFL

Sydney was already in trouble before the crowds dropped to that level. And the AFL did nothing about it until they cleaned themselves up. GWS simply exposed some loopholes that have now been closed.
Identify the ARL members. At least one of them is influenced by News Limited.

I don't need to ... its 3 per organisation
your incorrect ( surprise .. surprise

) assertion that News has a majority representation is quite obviously wrong.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Rugby_League
A Partnership Executive Committee administers the agreement between the Australian Rugby League and News Limited as well as making major financial decisions.[44] Three representatives from each party make up this committee. A National Rugby League Board, which is commissioned by the Partnership Committee and is composed of six delegates – three from each party – is responsible for administering the competition. Both bodies nominate a Chairman to lead each board for a term of 12 months on an alternating basis.[44]
The National Rugby League markets the premiership on behalf of the clubs as well as organising the draw and finals matches. When the draw is finalised, teams are responsible for controlling and organising their assigned home games. Clubs each have their own organisational structure but are also bound to the National Rugby League by a common set of rules in club agreements.[44]
In late November/early December each year the NRL holds a conference for CEOs, coaches and players to discuss issues facing the League.
