1 short?? You said there are 10 cities outside of Australia that could get 40k crowds.

Then you proceeded to list crowds of under 40k from the 1940 and 60's as evidence lol.

Smashed.

what a Glorious History our great game has , some of the greatest sporting battles our Country has seen

Rugby League in the 50's & 60's ..... was Australias biggest international sport
bigger then Cricket ... Rugby Union , & Soccer
& well another sport doesn't even make the list 8-[  ......tell me... would all the international AFL games ever played .. in the last 150 years
equal the attendance of just 1.... 1 of the above 30 RL Internationals

the competitiveness started to die in the early 70's & the focus turned to Club football
will we ever see the glory of Rugby League Test Football return to the halcion days
I say yes ...
With the ever growing Strength & rise of NZ RL , the battles between the Kiwis & Kangaroos will surpass the Bledisloe Cup for importance as far as Australians are concerned in the coming decade
& the English will rise again too off the back of more & more of their best playing in the NRL

yes .. the attendances above will again be a regular occurance in RL , & this on top of SOO & the Mighty NRL domestic competition
there is not a sport in the country that is as diverse & a sport that offers so much to its fans

meanwhile back in flogball land

we'll have the famous melbourne suburbs of collington beating essenwood ,
richkilda defeating footsthorn
year after F'ing boring F'ing year ............yay ](*,)

1 game, all you want is one game?

Here you go: 2006 Corke Park Dublin crowd 82,127.

Higher crowd then any international league game has ever gotten. (also posted this decade)

Now you want to know something really scary the average crowd for international rules is 44k.

12k in the Gold Coast is a lot better than 42k (For 2 games lol) in London, the city with highest international league crowd on record. Not to mention the population difference of 14mil vs 500k. Not to mention an AFL team has been there for one season etc etc etc

Trying to compete against the AFL in crowd figures is stupid, when will you learn? Its the 4th best attended sport in the world by average. Its shares an elite category with the NFL, Premier League and German soccer. It even gets better crowds than baseball.

Not to mention there has been one game of football of any type in the world this year that has gotten a better crowd then the AFL grand final and that was the super bowl!

Rugby League on the other hand, well the list did not go down far enough to find out how it fares.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sp ... ce_figures

Hell they even pull crowds of 20k plus in Japan and Canada.

Stick to making up facts you really dont want to try to compete against the AFL in an attendance war.

ah :?

you wanna have another look dickhead
League holds spots 6 , 8th & 14th in the top 20
League has 3 .... Vicky Kicky .... just 1

12K...yeah . lets applaud a crowd the Cronulla Sharks would have blushed at 8-[
this is the new self proclaimed by the kings of spin .. the AFL .. to be the new frontier ... the new heartland if you believe the log floggers at AFL HQ
yay team.... a turnout that the Broncos would get to a BBQ

22K in the Capital of this sports world ( population 4 million ) for the only opportunity it has to be nationalistic ..... is an utter disgrace to our nation
& all Victorians should hang their heads in shame , they think so little of their country. [-( [-X

42K is a great turnout in a City that isn't a traditional stronghold of a sport
It'd be like getting 42K in Melbourne ... great result =D> =D> =D>

4th best crowds in the world .... with the cheapest Tickets in the world
tickets as cheap as a vegemite sandwich to get in
again ... yay 8-[

give 30 events a venue that holds over 100K globally & they'd of all beaten the AFL Grand Final ( including a venue in Brisbane for the 3rd n deciding SOO ) ... hell this overblown giggleball garbage wasn't even the biggest game in Oz this year
the 3rd Biggest Football Game in Australia
the 4th biggest in Australasia

take your Victorian Grand Final , that no one outside of the dingy corner of Australia gives a R@ts A hole about
we've got bigger fish to fry
like a sport played somewhere other then Australia

Wow! Just, Wow!!

How can you AFL queers laugh at International league when you cant even watch an AFL Aussie team play an Aussie rules test match?

Regardless of crowd numbers, the AUSTRALIAN RUGBY LEAGUE TEAM, NZ, ENGLAND AND WALES are playing a four nations tournament in England.
Please find me the AFL equivalent to that.

Please find me a full team of Kiwis or Islanders or any other race made up of AFL players. I could name several from the NRL 1-17.

International Rugby League always was a joke. We meanwhile, focus on our place as the Number 1 sporting code in Australia where we dominate all other codes.
