I seriously doubt that monetary amount for Penrith is accurate on membership alone. If I were the Panthers CEO I'd be reducing the amount a membership costs in order to compete with GWS. If they don't then they clearly failed business at Sydney Uni.

hmmmm

so charge the same as a carton of beer for 12 home games
of $4.00 a game .... the eqiuvalent of a Ham sandwich :-k

For heaven's sakes what did you get for maths at your last exam? D-? If Penrith reduced it's membership charges from it's present amount to the same as GWS which is $50 and not $4 they may attract more members and make up the shortfall. Do you understand now?

That's irrelevant because the $50 comes into the club before the season commences. Advances like this allow the club to plan for the season ahead.

Why's is it just Penriths fight?

It might surprise you to learn that Penrith would be one of the least supported clubs in Sydney.

So why use them to fight when you have Parramatta, Wests Tigers and Canterbury all around the same area who have much more support?

Because the reason they have the least support is because they won't take risks. So they should. They are the perfect example.

No you know nothing, they are the smallest because they were established decades after all the other west Sydney teams and they have always been seen as the less glamorous club with only a few times in their history where they have been any damn good.

You go to Penrith and most people follow Parra or the Dogs.

GWS are misrepresenting themselves by claiming they have 12K members

$50 does not a membership make
its a fraction of one ..... so they only have a fraction of 12K members in reality

but this is what the AFL & their clubs get up to
smoke n mirrors
dig underneath & the BS is exposed

Penrith and Parramatta will merge within the next 5 years after the arrival of AFL in western Sydney. Mark my words on that one.

disenfranchises ? :-k

you mean like the West Tigers & St George Illawarra
2 of our top clubs ... with great support

thats one thing we know how to do .... mergers

so I'd look out if I were you
Penrith could handle GWS on their own .... with arguably the most supported NRL club there is in Sydney with them in Parramatta
they will grind GWS into the dust.

So crowds have doubled for each team since their merger? No, why is that?

Beaussie you've been saying this for almost a year now, perhaps longer. So how's about we check reality and make it 4 years?
