Yeah, that explains why tickets are on sale months ahead of the actual event. You're so dopey.

tickets are on sale now so people can organise their annual pilgrimage to the biggest single Sporting event North of the Murray
People from all over Australia descend on Sydney for the long weekend
what a carnival it is
You don't want 80K people trying to buy ticktets on the day after the prelim finals ..
no one does that including your brain impared sport
you want it orderley & sensible ...
the fact that tens of thousands of tickets are being sold now .. with no one even knowing who will be playing .. is testiment to how big a game it is .. people don't care ... they just want to be part of this massive event
& why not .. they aren't stupid & NRL fans can't be duped
they'll see their premier hold that trophy aloft on the night
shame the dumb as dog Cr@p AFL zombies at the AFL GPF ...
Grand Possible Final
may not get to see theirs
duped .. patsies ... morons ... blind ... misguided ... FOOLS

Turn it up. You wouldn't sell 80k. That's the whole reason why you sell tickets from July to October in the hope that fans hoping their team will be there will buy tickets in the lead up. End result is a stadium full of neutrals and the real fans who want to see their team play in the grand final missing out. Great initiative you have there.

we'd sell it out in an hour if the NRL were stupid enough to have the tickets go on sale a day after the prelim finals ... no sport does that
not even your 3 ringed circus of a comp
& you think the AFL sells all its GPF tickets to hardend fans
please
its the same as the NRL
half the 100K crowd is corporate hangers on & neutrals ..
but again
at least our hangers on know they'll see the premiers doing a lap of honour at our GF
the morons attending the AFL GPF can't be sure ... can they

Hmm, ok, that would explain the following then right? Not even the fans want to be part of this so called massive event. Hilarious
And the same fans who grabbed more than a third of the grand final tickets have turned on their club, beginning threats to offer their tickets for sale on online auction sites.

you buy your ticket to secure your seat & you certainly do if you believe your team will be there like Dragons fans did a month ago
if you left it to the day after the prelim final you would be trampled trying to get one of the 13K that go on sale on the Monday.
plenty of tickets get returned by fans whos side doesn't end up making it
the NRL allows a window for this during the final series .. full refund minus the booking fee
these tickets .. & the 13K are snapped up like hot cakes in only hours on the monday
the NRL GF is the biggest single annual sporting event in the Nthn States & nothing goes close to it
played before a sellout crowd & probably more TV veiwers then the AFL GPF we will see our premier crowned at around 7pm on Sunday Oct 2nd
meanwhile no one knows for sure if fans will see anything the day before at the MCG except another game of football

Clearly the NRL grand final is not the must see
massive event you make it out to be, otherwise why would, as you put it,
plenty of tickets get returned by fans ???? Help us out here eh Raider.

not many are returned anyway , only a few hundred each year, its just the NRL making sure they cover all bases with the way they sell GF tickets .. & any negative fallout from people having to commit to a ticket so early
fans who buy these tickets in July in the hope of seeing their side there at the big dance suck up their dissapointment & get along anyway to this massive event
its a must see ... you get to see the premier beaussie .. you actually know this for sure
unlike your key stone cops .. benny hill show .. episode of monthy python of a GPF
wot a sham it is ... to suck dopey fans in .. & not guarantee them that they may in fact not be watching a decider at all
que the benny hill music

No. Raider you said plenty of tickets get returned. You didn't suggest only a few hundred when you said the following:

You don't make sense and appear to make things up as you go along whenever challenged. Clearly the NRL grand final is not a must see event if plenty of tickets as you tell us are returned by fans.

I was wrong .. it is a rarely used facility I have been told ... rang the NRL myself masquerading as someone who might return mine ( of course I wouldn't do that ) they said its usually only a few hundred returned via this option.
& for obvious reasons
biggest event there is ... an Actual Grand Final .. a Real decider , not a pretend one like a certain other 3 ringed circus of a sport puts on

Thought it might be interesting to see if the NRL Grand Final is sold out yet considering tickets have been on sale now for months.
Hmm, lets see... NUP, thousands of tickets still available and many more already returned for refunds as we have seen reported in the media. What a farce of a competition.

There has been 3 drawn grand finals in the entire history of the VFL/AFL raiderdave and your calling it the possible decider? Lame.
Whats the NRL do, Play for 2 more minutes untill someone flukes a field goal then its all over!

ah
it can only be a " possible " decider
because thats what it is
no one can be sure if they'll see the boggerball premier on this day
can they ?
hence .. possible ... grand final
the NRL plays til the decider .... is decided
that can be 2 minutes of extra time ... or 22 minutes
the AFL GPF .. an episode of the benny hill show

haha yeah ok on a technicallity! they should probably look at maybe having extra time at each ends or the likes BUT An extra grand final for the AFL means extra millions of $$$$$$
Anywho i shouldn't get off subject.. Tickets going on sale early has its pros and cons! can anyone tell me the price of an NRL grand final ticket? Every time i get keen to goto an AFL grand final i cant find tickets any cheaper than $1200.
Or am i not looking in the right spot?
i cant imagin paying that much for a grand final ticket then my team not playing but i guess if NRL tix were reasonable it wouldnt be so bad.
