You've got no idea. AFL is AFL **** supporters of the game, whether it's Gold Coast, Darwin, Perth, Ballarat, Hobart - it doesn't matter. Accept that you don't understand the dedication and understanding of the game, and accept that you're the one in Oz.

ah.. you've just blurted out what I was alluding to
you put AFL places down after the coast
I said ... maybe in fumbleball world their dedicated ... I dunno , I don't care , & theres enough of them to forgive a cr@p season or two

but up our way .. you know , where the coast is .. its a different kettle of fish .. there aren't enough of these dedicated supporters to put up with a sub standard football team .. like the suns will be for some time
don't tell me there is ... just cos you say so .. I might be right , so may you be ( it'd be a first  )
Like I said ... we'll see , won't we !

You clown. TLPG owned youand you're too stupid to see it. How many ARL/NRL franchises have collapsed in the last 20 years? Plenty. How many AFL franchises have collapsed? One. Give it up, clown.
in buggerball land ?
1 , Fitzroy

how many would have fallen in the last 20 , without handouts from the AFL .. nothing to do with " dedicated " fans
dead set handed over the cash to stay playing ?
hmmmm

Sydney
Brisbane
Melbourne
North Melbourne
Richmond
Port Adelaide
St Kilda
Western Bulldogs
Hawthorn

gee , nearly everyone of them

the ARL/NRL hasn't propped up teams in the past ..... if you can't pay your bills & compete in the market place ... you fold was their policy

the AFL continued to support rubbish teams that were run by people with no business acumen
seriously how do you still lose money when you have 40K members & turnover 40 Million dollars annually

some AFL clubs must be run by dead set dim wits :drunk:

I suppose Newtown Jets, Adelaide Rams, Hunter Mariners, Balmain Tigers, Western Suburbs Magpies to name a few don't count then?

And let's not forget Souffs as they are on their way out AGAIN!

The nrl does not do handouts as they got no money to spend as their so-called piss weak supporters do not go to the games, that's if they even have supporters. AFL can afford to help out their clubs as they have an endless money train via sponsors and supporters going to the games!

Stick to your throwball competition and it's irrelevance in the bigger picture, as the AFL is going along just fine without advice from an nrl hack.

Raider Dave, it shows that the NRL doesn't care about the clubs - and therefore doesn't care about the game. The AFL does.

So shut up about things you know NOTHING about.

it shows our clubs need to be accountable & pay their way

not like AFL clubs , relying on handouts .. charity ... donations .. tax payers money in some cases .. that they have done very little to deserve

AFL clubs = leeches

Blah blah blah blah blah.
You're like a stuck record. We don't rely on handouts to survive. We don't need to because it only happens on an as needs basis - and that's not often.

NRL clubs = leeches because they don't care about themselves enough. That's why franchises collapse in the NRL and DON'T in the AFL.

The last time I looked South's were owned by a multi millionaire from WA and a Hollywood movie star, who is probably a millionaire also.

IN the finacial war with News ltd, and the inflated costs due to it, a few clubs were sent to the wall or didn't fit into News Limiteds plans. But in the near 100 years prior to that, since the games inception , we've only lost about 4 clubs.

During News Ltd's takeover of our game, all funds were needed. There was no money to prop up ailing clubs.

And why is of interest to us at the AFL? We could not care less about that tin pot game called nrl as unlike the nrl we at the AFL are not paranoid about your little irrelevant competition.
