Btw since when has anyone cared about peak Audience?
SOO got nearly 5million Peak but that is not mentioned because sports broadcasters use Average when selling there TV adds.
It's the biggest Peak, 7mate has ever got in NSW

Surely Sydney alone yeah? Or is it including regional NSW on 7mate?
See what i mean, what the hell is QLDAFL talking about.......

And if you didn't notice they have changed the ratings system from Sydney to nsw, so it's harder to pin point how much it exactly got in sydney
And 7mate isn't just in sydney.. just saying

I'm confused about your point regarding the ratings system for Sydney being changed to NSW? A change from OzTAM you mean?
Oh and it's true 7mate is available in regional markets. Usually branded as 7mate on Prime as far as I can remember. Don't think you can get regional ratings for digital channels either.

Yes, and as i stated before, i think these figures are just sydney only, as these numbers don't include regionals, but i was just making sure

hmmmmmm
will be interesting to see if these 500K pay Tv veiwers who sprung up out of the ground during the season & certainly during the finals ... stick around for the GF on Sat eh ?
it will be easy to work it out
most would come from the Sthn states .....so look out .... if there is not a significant rise in the GF audience in the Sthn States ...
it will be a hard one to explain if there isn't a near 500K rise .. & these veiwers seemingly dissapear back under the rock they crawled out from under this year & go missing for the biggest game of the year ?
will be interesting

So if the ratings are 500k more than last year the numbers are true?

So how many viewers should the AFL GF have Radierdave? 4.5 million? 5 million?

I am predicting 4.5m maybe more. This was such a great game it could possibly push 5m, depends on the Sydney ratings i guess.
Sydney ratings 900k imo.

Those sydney numbers seem about right, i'm predicting 1.6m from victoria, 850k for sydney, 320k for queensland, 350k for Adelaide and 380k for perth, honestly i'm guessing the numbers will be around 3m

Sat TV #AFLGF Metro 2,937,000 (Syd 609k Mel 1.33m Bri 295k Ade 309k Per 393k) Seven
300k up on last year.
Regionals are usually close to 1m so it could get 4m nation wide. Amazing figures for a daytime game!! =D> =D>

Xman great ratings but the Sydney portion is lower then expected......but still great ratings. Weather it is a daytime game is irrelevant, the 2005 final was a daytime game and that got 4.5m so i would have to say i am surprised that it did not rate better in Sydney.
I wander what did the presentation get in 2005 Xman?

Whether its a day game is totally relevant, but yes it is lower than 2005. Remeber though that in 2005 Syndey hadn't won a GF for around 80 years so this would have increased interest levels. From memory the Sydney ratings compare to the 2006 numbers. Hawthorn being overwhelming favorites may also have lessened the numbers in Sydney.

Okay well that is clear then, the Swans had curiosity factor and 80 years of drought which pulled the massive 900k in 2005.
Now if the year is anything to go by then this final needed to rate 4.5m minimum to justify those Fox ratings being legit. As it stands now those ratings are in Question no doubt about it.
On another note, how can the Presentation rate more then the Game itself........something not right there imo.
