GWS membership is 11206 which is 600+ short of the Sharks and more than the Titans but around the mark of 5 NRL clubs.

Yes they are a big deal and in a number of ways.leeroy*NRL* wrote:are memberships really that big of deal..
NRL games instead of paying $40.00 a ticket the club now gives you 6 games for $160.00
discounted tickets that is all It does, and money in the bank straight up.. for the clubs.
NRL crowds have not increased 1% since memberships started to be bought and get serious back in 2009
anyone have any idea when NRL memberships were being pushed, cause a decade ago
they seemed non existent... ??
I agree with point 1 that's a def.Swans4ever wrote:Yes they are a big deal and in a number of ways.leeroy*NRL* wrote:are memberships really that big of deal..

1st it's money in the bank regardless of who goes to the game,
2nd the more memberships the greater chance you have bigger crowds and match day profits off things like beer sales, eateries etc etc,
3rd the bigger the membership the greater the club can ask for sponsorship - the Swans get the most sponsorship in the Sydney market for a reason, (and before the usual crew bang on about TV ratings, that is not as important because whoever watches your games may be a supporter but there really is no way to be sure as the owners of set top box's are anomynous. Which means you may have supporters watching or maybe just fans of the game in general - how would you know)
Lastly it is also directly linked to merchandise sales.
So yea it is a big deal
Lol that's a large part why the nrlol club revenue streams are so shitleeroy*NRL* wrote:I agree with point 1 that's a def.Swans4ever wrote:Yes they are a big deal and in a number of ways.leeroy*NRL* wrote:are memberships really that big of deal..
