So in my uneducated opinion Austar is already being included in the subscription television ratings where NRL has not broken 400K this year. They dont cover everywhere but they cover a majority of the population. If anything it is the Areas in WA/SA and NT that are covered the worst.

The AFL have won every final, with some exceeding 2m. The NRL have had most finals equal 1.5m. Easy victories when the comparison is one game v one games, instead of the usual split audiences the AFL gets with concurrent games. Your getting so desperate you're trying to include NZ!

If the NRL was a bigger TV product it would win the finals comparisons, yet it's been smashed every time!

Well the previous years the NRL have won the meaningless cumulative ratings by a slim margin of 10% or so. Did these figures include all pay TV figures or not? This year the AFLs ratings are up near 30%. The AFL will win easily.

I've always found that line from the NRL fans interesting. As far as I was aware, OzTAM already covers capital cities and regional markets in their totals, which you've just proved is the case. Try again NRL fans.

how many of those games were shown against a FTA game or another NRL game on Foxtel?

Being on FTA makes no difference whatsoever (your lame ass excuses are boring as hell) if you fork out for the Fox sport package then thats what you whatch.

Your other excuse is almost as lame. When matches are shown at the same time people flick over between adds. Matches people wouldn't normally watch. I also recall a 3 week period where games didn't overlap and the resuls wernt much different.

The second Saturday game regularly appears in that list, I would say it would be second in popularity only to the Monday game.

And when we dont have our 2nd Saturday game we usually get NZ (a team whose ratings dont count - or arent shown here) playing a home game (Midday our time) so it overlaps the NRL footy/Roast shows.

Quiet often you have a monday or thursday game (no overlap) Friday game (no overlap), usually one on Saturday that doesnt overap and often one Sunday too. Usually 3 (at least) - which is about what we have. So sing a new tune.
