The way I understand Oztam boxes is that every 15 minutes -30 minutes you have to click on your controller to show that you are still watching the footy. Does this mean that people are clicking the controller on the fox channel and then flicking over to 7 and clicking on this to make sure they are getting a double rating for both fox and 7? Surely when they click on the C7 to show that they are watching the C7 program the Oztam box realises and stops counting them as watching the Foxtel show.
470K for NRL, so what you are saying is that AFL has beaten the RL record on fox. Ok cool.
Ah no they have not, AFL regular season ratings record for the AFL is 330k or there abouts so keep dreaming Pies.
BTW Pies you want a tissue mate?
GO THE SWANS....

yep regular season the NRL wins you are correct (althought It think it was higher then 330K). But for overall best rating on Foxtel AFL wins.
I still havent seen your explaination for your double counting that you claimed was happening in regards to the AFL ratings. Maybe we should have a BS file for that one.

This is the first year Melbourne has been able to whatch the Storm at a decent hour and there getting 80K+ already for a below par game. Imagine what that figure will be in the next few years(30 in the case of the swanies

).

MEL vs NZ 9 SN 1,173,000 619,000 274,000 274,000 4,000 2,000
NRL down 250k on last year.
AFL will be up 300-400k

you are a pencil d.ick aren't you ?
the Storm V Warriors final last year was on a Saturday
the Friday Final last year Manly V Brisb ... attracted .... 1,023,000 veiwers ... just 99K down ... not 250
let go of your tiny little willy for a sec ... & get it right

AFL 1.26 metro + 420 regionals + 480 Fox = 2.16 million
NRL 924K metro + 616 regionals = 1.54 million
AFL wins by about 600K viewers
heres mine
AFL 1.26 metro + 250 regionals + 250 Fox .. ( unfudged figures that aren't double counted ) .. 1.760 Million
NRL.. 924 metro .... 650 regional 1.574 Million
tonight
metro 1.1 million 800 regional 1.9 Million
we win ... again

Desperate Dave just makes the numbers up when he doesn't agree with the official released ones! And even then the AFL still wins!!

everyone knows they're on TV. They got way more ratings last year in Melbourne on ch9. This year they bombed in both crowds and ratings.

lets examine last years VFL prelim final ... an arguably bigger encounter between 2 Melbourne sides in Collinswart & Whorethorn
live everywhere except WA ... that got it on an hours delay
that attracted a national audience of...... 1,571 Mill
SEVEN'S AFL: PRELIM FINAL 1: COLL VS HAWTH 1,571
http://www.thinktv.com.au/SiteMedia/w3s ... 9_2011.pdf
now lets look at your ridiculous figures above of 2.16 Million ...
an increase of nearly 33% for ... a less appealing encounter
the tooth fairy would be doing these with that sort of info
when will the truth be told

Think TV exclude secondary channels, and all but one AFL regional market, so fail.....
Yep. Collingwood in this years game plus Sydney. The two biggest teams from the two biggest states. Thems the breaks Dave. This years game had more national appeal than a victorian only matchup.
The NRL chose cash over simulcast fox and FTA broadcasts. It adds heaps of viewers. Maybe you can try it in 2018.

Theres Quiet a few Nzers and expats in Melbourne. This years game wasnt much of a contest & it was on a better ratings night.
Have the AFL ever got 400k in Sydney?

They didn't get much more than 130k for a final against Collingwood, and your telling me they done it tonnes of times?

add that 130k onto fox footy numbers and it's easily over 200k
and here

The sydney and westcoast 05 grand final got 991k viewers, which wasn't even a peak.
