The crowd average for the NRL's seasons opening round this year was an absolute shocker

I think the average currently sits around 14 k, well below last years drop in averages

invite to chairmans lounge..
it didn't rain much during the game..
but it poured all day..
going into the ground was puddles of water everywhere
couldn't imagen the hills..
most of the seating was taken 80%
but looking at the corporates.. most stayed inside..
NRL and Suburb grounds (if it rains) no one ever goes..
it always has and it always will be..
but but but
when it rains for an a NRLOL game no one turning up you oxygen bottles expect us to believe your but buts, bad weather for an AFL game, oh there is no such thing
its like any bad NRLOL news story is straight out lies lies, and negative story about the AFL its all gospel and all true, any positive NRLOL news story is all true, & and positive news story is from the AFL propaganda machine!
but but but
8k for the premiers cocksucking cowboys vs attempted dog rooters from last monday 5k for the seamon eagles & gummy sharks game on monday, haha sucks shit
yeah right, Rain affects the AFL too ( you are just in denial)
remember in rugby league we cant fumble the ball

lol they fumble the ball all the time from 6 meter side passes with out an opponent near them :_<>
now stick to the topic thickshit no3 leroy!
us AFL fans use that excuse, you oxygen bottles just crap on accusing us of making excuses, but its ok for you dipshits to use it
a bit selective itsnt it.
but come on FFS 5k & 8K to an NRLOL game
Their ball is also vastly different from an AFL ball, an AFL ball is buffed leather with coats clear, making it extremely difficult to handle in wet conditions, the NRL use a synthetic water proof ball with dimples making it very grippy in all conditions.
Yes I know the ball that is used in AFL matches.
though in rugby league, the game can become very stop start in the wet
creating a very sloppy game to watch and play

when soggy the leather AFL ball absorbs lots of water and becomes very heavy and slippery. This makes it extremely difficult to catch, especially when travelling at speed from a long kick. I certainly remember copping a heavy wet ball in the face on a number of occasions when playing Aussie rules as a junior. It felt like the ball was still there 30 minutes later.
