no! the leagues clubs are like a surf club or an RSL club, you have to pay a $5 or $10 membership fee just to have access to the place. they have nothing to do with the people buying a league club membership other than a NRLOL club membership
um I know that..
people buy a membership to there local leagues club
and have dinner there drinks, entertainment.
and its there way of contributing to the footy club

lol yeh that is what I said.
That is also a reason they don't become a member of the footy club..
because they think buy spending money at the leagues club
who give money to the footy club is a good way of contributing..
now I don't have stats on it, but it is a reason and it has been like this for decades

O....m....g I can't believe you're seriously comparing leagues club membership to sporting club membership. They are both completely different.
Firstly. Like leagueiscrap said. Leagues club membership fees are like 5 - 10 dollars. They also offer much more then NRL. And believe me, many of those leagues club members cross clubs in Sydney don't actually follow NRL.
Such a poor excuse for reason of low membership figures across NRL clubs in Sydney

Bullshit .
That was the culture in SYD .
Be a member of your Leagues club .
Memberships of Football clubs has been the culture in Melb for how long ?
The NRL has been pushing for NRL club membership for how long ..
You are trying to compare two different cultures .

Lol .
I've never tried to bullshit anyone about Leagues club memberships
No they aren't the same .
Never said they were
I just explained that was how you supported your club in RL .
Jesus .you know exactly what I'm saying .
The culture in Melb was to be a member of your club ...it still is .
The culture in Syd was to be a member of your Leagues club ...that's changing .
Feel free to point out where that's wrong .
& you are trying to compare AFL membership to NRL membership .
When I explained that AFL has been doing the membership thing for decades .
The Nrl has been pushing for less than a decade .
We are growing more each yr & that's all you can do .

No that's not correct club memberships only really started being pushed in the mid 90's before that memberships were quiet low.

ohh boy,
I wasn't comparing the two memberships at all.
I was simply stating, the way fans contribute to there club,
by going to the leagues clubs for event or drinks or dinners.
then some of this money is distributed to the footy clubs..
that's all I was stating...

Oh man you talk soo much out of your arse.
What next from this guy, reason for low attendance to NRL games in Sydney is "culture"
Shouldn't you be in one of many pointless arguments you get in with leagueiscrap.
Every thread I open, you and him contribute with your scrambling banter and quick to derail every single thread with your childish rages and arguments

buying a football clubs membership is optional costs a lot more than $5
going to a league club is exactly like the surf life savers or RSL club, its a membership you have to pay for, before you can enter

its there way of contributing

Dumber than a bag of horse shit .
We were talking about the cultures in each sport .
& Leeroy is right .
Not so much these days but that was how you supported your club ever since the 60-70s until a few yrs ago .
You can scoff all you like but that's how it was .
The NRL has only been pushing memberships for less than a decade .
