SydneyFC, I watched on foxtel, was the ABC coverage good? I actually started watching the game on the foxtel app, then was able to get the TV.
Better first half from the socceroos, but boy Japan could kick into another gear, the first goal was a bad mistake, do you think Franjic was at fault, I assumed he had the back post?
Thought Behich had a good game, I was impressed with Luongo, and Jedinak best game for a while in green and gold (besides the yellow)
Kruse looked spent, but looks like he just needs more game time

abc had lazaridis and ogre doing the punditry and they were great, especially lazaridis...steff brantz was hosting and is infinitely better than lucy zelic and tara rushton. they used the fox feed for the in game commentary though
even though they didn't announce they were televising this game till late, the ratings were very good considering the game didn't even start till 9:30. what impressed me was the amount of a-league and asian cup advertising they have on the channel during the game. i wonder if they show that many adverts when the football isn't on though
and yea it was his fault, he should of picked him up but i guess since the player that scored was standing on the edge of the box franjic didn't think he'd be involved
first half was really good from us...luongo looks awesome and jedinak had a good game for once...second half was meh and more like a typical aus vs japan game but as usual timmy can score at any moment in any situation. kruse is still trying to find his feet - but he needs to improve quick but when he is fit imo hes still our best player

Sutherland shire A-League team on the cards?
The rumour mill suggests David Gallop wants an A-League team in the Sutherland shire by 2017 to cash in on the country’s biggest junior nursery. Timmy Cahill just happens to own a waterfront home in the area. He will be 37 when the team is launched and no doubt capable of a ‘one-for-the-road’ season.
not so sure about this one! if davey's dream comes to fruition and a stadium gets built in liverpool i can see the ffa wanting to go for a team in south west sydney instead of the shire
regardless if the shire has more numbers when it comes to participation, the area isn't growing and is essentially enclosed - can't imagine anyone past menai or sylvania wanting supporting this team whereas south west sydney can stretch from as far campbelltown to the edge of the innerwest in belmore

Theyd have to play at Remondis
So the Sharks would be their landlords as they own the venue & its the only one on the shire

another million into their coffers courtesy of the oi league
I like it

Bad move. Much of Sydney FCs fan base plus a pretty big nursery for Sydney FC I think would cause big issues for them
Doubt they would attract the Illawarra and won't attract sw Sydney, the shire demand immigration papers.

I'd agree in principle but many people said the same thing about the wanderers and our WS based fans
but "most" of them stuck around....still a good portion of our fan base is from WS
23.7k in melbourne for the mvxbr game
slaughtered the cricket that was on down the road =D>

Lol.
Across AUST at least 1 million more would have watched the cricket.
Lol
The stupidity of the hooligans is laughable.
Your sport gets far less than Cricket for their media deal.
Probably because it's viewing numbers are so far behind cricket you couldn't see them with a telescope.
Your sport is just not too popular with AUST TV audiences.
They choose Cricket in Summer by a huge huge margin.
