The NRL is relatively new at this membership game and have gone from virtually 0 members to where they now end up with over 200,000 by seasons start. My club once they get their new ground will smash the swans in memberships if they continue to take big games to anz, bearsie knows this, he fears the eels hitting a purple patch and having a stadium with a decent capacity again.

It's funny, when the eels go well, the swans usually go shit and their crowds die right off, the opposite happens when the eels go bad, been bad for a long time now whilst the AFL have continually propped up the swans to keep them up the top of the ladder, they'll fall this year, eels are rising.

Well I hope for the Eels sake your right after losing 8 mil in 2015! (Swans made a profit of $846000) But the fact remains Swans now have 31000 members the closest RL club is Souths with 29000. Paramatta attendance at home was still only 14699 yet the Swans were 31521. For all your ranting these are the stats that matter and the Eels are a very very very long way behind!

RL has always been the leagues club angle .
Support your club through being a member of your leagues club ....gaming money was & is still a big part of that .
Yet now the NRL is pushing the membership angle & trying to get clubs to cut back on relying on leagues club money .
Many AFL clubs are heading down that gaming revenue route ..

Geez who wound you up - I don't think I mentioned anything about Paramatta - aside of which leagues clubs concentrated on social venues rather than membership but your not going to get more members than go to games, and you have been trying to increase membership for the last 10 years not this year. Having a poor culture with fans is your problem I was just stating the fact that the Swans have the most members, the largest footy club revenue and the biggest crowds - I.e. The biggest club in Sydney!

their average is accurately about half of the capacity of the stadium

the memberships at the leagues clubs have nothing to do with the embarrassment of your club or nrlol club.
they are usually a $5 or $10 dollar annual membership charge giving you access to cheap rubber steaks & parmas, trivia & poker nights as well as abba, Neil diamond or cold chisel tribute bands, the annual membershio is similar to RSL clubs and surf life saving clubs
