Sokka in Aust puffs it's chest out over visiting teams .
Yet the lol league is still bottom of the footy pile in Aust .
yet the biggest event in World Rugby League the SOO doesn't attract as many to the ground as a Friendly football match,
While the SOO and friendly Soccer match both got excellent crowds.
Big Difference to a one off event and yearly event.
however Big European clubs will continue to get big crowds
what is strange though, usually with big crowd numbers in events
the Tv figure is massive, which did not show for these games.
But SOO in Melbourne isn't an annual event, when was the last time it was played at the MCG before this year?
The ICC has been signed up for the next 2 years???? I think
that is correct,
it is held in melbourne every 3 years, at present.
it has been played at Ethiad in 2012,2009,2006.

Yes, the Sydney Swans entertained 38,408 fans at their one game at the SCG while the FOUR NRL games in Sydney last weekend bored just 853 more for a 4-game combined attendance total of 39,261.
The NRL has an extremely weak case for big new stadiums.

Not really very hard to understand why the league boys don't spend much time posting in this thread

For the first time since 2004, the average Home & Away attendance at NRL games has fallen below the 15,000 mark. A miserable average crowd of 14,969 now endures the boredom of these games.
Down, down down, the attendances fall. How low can they go?

And here's one for the Leaguies:
The top of the table clash between the Roosters and the Broncos on Saturday evening at Sydney Football Stadium (Allianz) attracted just 19,137 through the gates.
Earlier in the afternoon, 19,507 trekked out to Sydney Olympic Park to watch the Sydney AFL Derby, GWS playing the Swans.
