Just a sly dig not really a claim but certainly got you going! Seriously thou having 3 games that are great draw crowds but the NRL club H & A season average is dropping to 2004 levels has to be a concern whether you rely on TV ratings as your major point or not.

To put this in perspective

Total crowd for 7 matches in this round of the NRL - just over 83k. Origin 2 - 91k. No its not a theatre event at all.

IMO the NRL H & A season is fast becoming second fiddle to origin - it's all right if that's what you want - last night flicked over to St.G v East and it was the most boring uninspiring game have seen - a lot of games are like this because there is no atmospher - eventually it will affect ratings!

That is a True Point.

bad Crowds affecting the Ratings.
I do notice when there is a big crowd in Rugby League the ratings Are UP
around the 30-40k
and Dip when there is 10-20k
the Atmosphere pumps up players and is shown on T.V as a better spectacle.
With Viewers willing to stay and watch more.

THE ORIGIN WILL SURLY CHANGE 2018
Origin back to back in 3 weeks.
then back into the NRL Season again.

IT HAS TO BE DONE>

Worse than Telecrap sensationalism. No big games at big grounds - Origin drop off.

Numbers are a bit disappointing but we still enjoy the biggest crowd this year. :thumbleft:

No its a rugby Leagues best v best - an elite event. No more an event than saying your GF is an event. Gf over 100k , Club games 30k - what a drop off - obviously just an event [-(

This statement about the Dragons v East game just shows how out of touch with reality you are Sgt Bilko. Not a bad game of football, went right down to the wire and rated almost 300k. 10k not a bad crowd for a Mon. night.

AFL attracts more fans because it is far more popular among the female community . AFL is a far more Feminine, It holds many similarities with netball . Tight shorts, oil. and arm bands to show of there muscles (or lack of them) . The ultimate fashion statement and places like the 'G' and Etihad stadium are just one big catwalk .

The couch though is the mans domain!

While I agree the AFL is far more popular with the fairer sex than RL, this is not the major difference and does not account for crowds that are on average double the size. However, your comments come off as very male chauvinistic

most people like to see entertainment & skill on display pissy cat!
not just the sausage fest, of a bunch of ****** flogs on the roids with no skill, bashing in to each other , then sticking their but in the air for their team mates to sniff it
