Its hard to tell how many regionals there are but lets say that there are a total of 200K more metro watches compared with last year. that is 1.165 last year compared to 1.365 this year
1.365 divided by 1.165 X 100 - 100 = 17% increase (Collingwood playing rather then Geelong, which is a much bigger club)
SOO 1 2011 (3.478 million) SOO 1 2012 (3.92 million) = close to 13% increase
No one questioned the SOO numbers. From my memory. Im not really seeing much difference Collingwood is a much bigger club with a lot more supporters compared with Geelong.
Origin - Highest game ever , up 5.5 or 6.5%. on the deciding 3rd match in 2011.
The AFL's entire first round of semis were up 25% on last year(not deducting Fox regionals).

I compared SOO 1 from 2011 and 2012, one year apart. The same as the qualifying finals for AFL, which were one year apart.
The SOO games had an increase of 13% compared to the AFL with 17% (I think it was closer to 13% but whatever). Both events are one year apart and show a simiar increase. But the AFL one has to be BS because it is not RL. Its like butting heads with rams sometimes around here.
Show me some stats to show this 25% increase. Because your stats have not been good lately. You were saying 40% and 20% in previous posts.

I just looked at this years finals week 1 which was about 4.9 million compared with last year at 3.9 million. About 350K + from this year would have been regional foxtel numbers. So thats about 4.55 million compared to 3.9 million or a about 16% increase. Come on mate your stats are poor on this one.

The increase is 10 or 11% , and thats for a series growing like wilflowers , chock a block full of interest as NSW searches for a series win.
The AFL's final series doubles that (25% with foxtels regionals). And it certainly isn't growing like wildflowers.
2011 AFL Final Series(1st) = 3929K
2012..............4906k
An increase of 977 or 24.87% and Foxtels regionals wouldn't be 500k max.

The figures are what they are. You've claimed victory using them before. Why are they rubbish now that you're losing?

Not our fault your code isn't Intersting beyond 2.1 cities.
The AFLs ratings in syd and bris double to quadruple the NRLs ratings in Mel Adel Perth. The latter cities rate less than 5 almost every time.

I must apologise , I had counted on the regional fox numbers pretty much halving the total increase.
But the increse is still to big.

So is there any point in having a tv ratings thread? Now the NRL are losing every game youre just claiming they're all incorrect.

what's the point? If you win a game you'll claim victory. If you lose you'll claim the numbers are wrong.
