I reckon Sydney Swans will be the first Sydney football club EVER to crack 50,000 members.

Go Swannies!!! Show the Sydney Rugby League clubs what a BIG football club is.

GWS membership is up to 11138 and Sydney Swans at 47981 means there are now 59119 NSW AFL club members or two AFL clubs is more than 6 bottom NRL clubs!! Lol

Since when is 11400 a third of 47981??? Not even a quarter!!! Because that's the interstate membership - but the point remains almost 60k members for 2 NSW based clubs!!!! More than the 6 bottom NRL clubs combined membership!!!

How many 1 game passes are counted as a membership, I know the eels did one for their darwin game that added 1 or 2 k to their total, I find that fair enough seeing as darwin is half a world away, but for people in Sydney, naaaaa, maybe all those people who follow their home side and travel the hume get a special swannies memberships when they go to watch in nsw, I would absolutely love to see the REAL breakdown.

1 game memberships are not counted in the total tally Collingwood tried it a few years ago and the AFL did not recognise it
