What utter BS. The ground only holds 100k. Only members get a chance to go. Seriously, who cant afford $300-400 to watch what could be a once in a life time event that lasts for 5-6hrs? The AFL have even adjusted their ticketing this year to allow more members of the participating teams to go.

There were many swans members who didnt take that opportunity...why? too expensive
The AFL - cutting ties with its own fans.

See you are telling me there are many Swan supporters who didn't take the opportunity to go to the grand final because it was too expensive? rubbish!

Yes, that is true.
Now lets move off that sad story and onto the other sad story, which is the theme of this thread. What on earth happened this year? Yes we know there was a new club and one in its second year but that doesnt explain 6 abysmal basketcases. The ex collingwood coach said it best. The AFL are in for years of pain because of their overspending and hasty development...unless a two tiered system is developed :D

Well you're BSing. The Swans only get 15k allocated tickets and they have over 30k members. Although this year the number of allocated tickets for each participating club has increased! =D>

There are other revenue sources other than general admission you know.

That can cover that drop in revenue??
