Tell me what other sports do the Aflol have to compete with for crowds in Tassie?

In Canberra the NRL have a RU side & a part time Fumbleside .

Back to the drawing board for you .

And your question ignores the fact Tasmania dont have an AFL team, where as Canberra have an NRL team.

This all started when I compared the Giants crowd to the Raiders. Wasnt everyone claiming the Giants had no supporters? What does that say about the Raiders?

It's quite simple .
You are comparing crowds in a 1 horse race with crowds in 3 horse race .
One sport has competition for crowds ...RL in Canb.
The other has none ,zilch ,nada ,zero no competition at all .

I know you fumblers have trouble with basic comprehension & logic ,but I gave you credit for being smarter than the average dumbo.

They compete with the fact there are only 200k in Hobart, and 100k in Launceston, and their allegiances would be split across the AFL comp. They dont all follow a local side because there isnt any

You deal with this, crapper:

Canberra (pop. 350k): NRL attendance 8k.
Hobart (pop. 214k): AFL attendance. 16k.

The WHOLE of Australia is AFL land, Crapper.

In 2014, the four northern clubs (Swans, Giants, Suns, Lions) sold 948,000 tickets to home games in so-called RL heartland NSW and QLD.

And AFL is still growing strongly in these last two states.

Mopping up, you might say.

In Canberra the RU and AFL take fans away because they prefer RU and AFL. In Tasmania there is no RU or RL club because they dont support the games in enough numbers

In Tassie, the NRL has failed to attract the tiniest amount of interest (Yes! They are trying!).

In Canberra, interest in AFL is growing strongly. Just compare Raiders and Giants attendances at Bruce and Manuka Stadia.

Furthermore, the ACT is feeding players into the AFL system from their four tier-2 clubs. In 2014, Jack Steele drafted to the Giants, Logan Austin and Dougal Howard drafted to Port Adelaide.

Crapper, try and understand: NRL fails to expand outside NSW/ QLD/ACT/NZ/POLYNESIA. And NRL is losing ground to AFL within NSW/ACT and QLD.

Mothers day is never a good day for the footy.

True, but ex cockhead will disagree.

another lame excuse by an NRL fan :(/

It explains a lower than expected crowd, not something as dire as 10k though. Even the Giants beat that
