Look, we just go around in circles with this regionals BS.

Fact is, the TV networks who bid for sports tv rights don't give a rats about regionals. That is not AFL supporters having their heads in the sand, this is the reality!!!

Capital cities and their advertising spend my friend, that's all that matters to the tv networks.

The fact is the people that run televivision networks are smart, savy bussinessman. Not complete morons who ignore large sections of there bussiness.
If what you're saying is correct, and the regionals as you like to always try and point out favour the NRL (despite most parts of AFL heartland not even being counted), why doesn't the NRL get more money than the AFL? Why isn't the NRL in the list of the highest ratings sports on TV in Australia, yes with regionals included. Why, why, why pussycat???
If you go back to the Nineties, back prior to Foxtels owners taking contol of our game, we did!

Rugby league's regional areas are probably it's most passionate. Take Newcastle for example, there a rugby league mad city. with a population not all that much smaller than South Australia - twice the size of Tasmania

Only 3 League matches are currently shown on FTA as opposed to your 7 that is why, why, why!!!!!! And the scary bit, for you, is that on occassions we still beat you.

If Newcastle is a rugby mad city, how come it also houses the oldest active AFL perpetual trophy in the country - the Black Diamond Cup after which the local AFL competition is named?

the reasons have been explained ad nausism

its stupid to ask this same question again

you may not agree with the explanations put forward by not only people in here but countless media experts who have put forward the same theories about our code being hampered by it being half owned by News Ltd & this being the reason it was very much undervalued at the last TV rights deal
won't be the same this time round when the IC is introduced & the game takes back control for the first time since Super League

as has been said
we'll find out 2 things when the NRL's next deal is finalised

1) if Regionals do in fact count

2) if our game was dudded on the last deal

til then
stop being a twit .. & asking the same question thats been answered 100 times already

its not a rugby mad city you dribbler

its a League mad city
probably pound for pound .. the maddest in the Country

wot has some fumbleball throphy got to do with that ?
kick n giggle has been around a lot longer in NSW then League
but its all but an irrellevance from nearly one end of it to the other
if you asked 99% of Novocastrians what the red belly black snake cup .. or whateva its name is ... is
they wouldn't know

again
way to go with a point that means ZERO !

they looked at AFL
saw it was a dud product that had no future .. & went after a sport that

isn't .... & does

My only excuse on that one would be it was late at night.

On the second point, I did not get that wrong! You did! You have 7 AFL matches on FTA - You only need look at your own ratings which are kept on this site. And using the excuse you were talking about the future does not cut it because we wern't.
