Xman you are just a few beers short of a six pack in your following of logic and reason. Seriously, you bring an example of country RL? In orange? If you had half a brain you'd be aware that country towns in australia, including orange, are nowhere near as multicultural as our cities. In fact, as ive argued in this thread, there is often a clear distinction and polarisation between black and white in our country towns, with the vast majority of the pop being of white anglo background...country towns and in fact the makeup of country RL players would be very much like the makeup ofplayers in the AFL competition today. Xman? You've just enlightened us all further. You just didnt know how. Thanks bro!

Re: Is The AFL Racist?

Post by Xman »

COUNTRY Rugby League CEO Terry Quinn believes racism is a serious issue in rugby league everywhere, not just in Group 10.
Orange Hawks claim their Polynesian contingent have been antagonised racially by a number of teams throughout the year and on Saturday against Orange CYMS, it was members of the crowd hurling racial taunts towards Tongan players.
Quinn said he was aware of the claims.
“My understanding is the blue on the weekend had nothing to do with racism on the field. But we certainly won’t tolerate racism in any form,” Quinn said.
“We know that Group 10 received letters from Hawks about racism and we’re investigating that at the moment. We take these claims very seriously.”
On top of Hawks’ claims, Group 11 player Joe Williams also lodged a formal complaint about racism earlier in the year.
He later withdrew that same complaint.
Quinn believes racism is an issue rugby league as a whole has to address.
“I’d be lying if I didn’t say there was an issue with racial slurs in the game, and that’s not just out your way, it’s in the game everywhere,” he said.
As the last sentence says, racism is a slur on the game of RL and it is a problem in the game "everywhere". This includes all leagues, despite the fact that country leagues also have a proportion of players from a variety of ethnic groups. [-X

Has cultural diversity helped these leagues? Of course not. They are rife with racism! #-o the truth is racism still grips RL and the NRL as shown by recent events in the SOO. No amount of you BS will change that KE. [-(

Thanks Xman for stating the bleeding obvious  Yes racism is present throughout the country including in RL. I'd just say its more prominent in the AFL where there would be less tolerance due to a lack of diversity in player backgrounds. And as yuou've pointed out, Country RL is prob in no better state than the AFL, considering the lesser ethnincally diverse makeup of aussie country towns compared to cities. The NRL leadsthe way in diversity and as TLPG would agree, therefore is a more tolerant competition.

I still cant believe you brought up a CRL example  You really put your foot in it with that one Xman

THE CRL is in a far worse state than any of the grass roots footy competitions in Australia. That is an absolute fact! NRL v AFL in efforts to eliminate racism? AFL wins by miles.

Xman have you processed that BS file request yet?

You have nothing, KE. All you have done is supported our well thought out valid argument...while trying to argue against it. A disgusting effort and I doubt you've learnt anything in all this.

You are a coward - and a racist. And a BS artist as well.

At first I rolled my eyes at your response above because you've been repeating my words in similar rebuttles quite a few times lately TLPG.

But then I realised that by copying me you're confirming you really do have nothing. Therefore once again while you're trying to argue against me you're actually supporting my case that...

Your argument is that RL have a larger variety of ethnic groups playing so this must promote diversity and tolerance. Yet the link I showed described these ethic groups being racially vilified in RL competitions.

How does this support your argument?? #-o #-o

You truly are that stupid. I repeated your words back at you because you are the one who is looking like a fool by making the statements that you are. I've exposed you as a racist. So for you to say we have nothing is a joke coming from a racist who has even less than nothing.

The AFL is not racist. The game of football is not racist.

Thugby on the other hand is racist. And the NRL is doing nothing to quell it. They aren't even trying. The AFL on the other hand is working hard to eliminate it. A hard job, but at least they're giving it a crack - and they are winning as well! What's the NRL got to show? SFA!!

Take your slurs against footy elsewhere, KE, because they don't wash.

Ah the clown prince rises from his squalid knoll once more. Ah how many times have i asked you to read in this thread? Yet you just dont seem able to do it. I've consistently argued the NRL has a larger variety of ethnic groups and is therefore a more tolerant competition than the AFL. Read again Xman and you will see this is my consistent line of argument, including the pictures and the vast majority of my posts. You bringing in CRL made me even surer of my argument as the CRL has a simlar white anglo dominant ratio as the AFL. Thanks again for your example Xman :D Now go back and do your reading little boy. Yes a fair point here pies. As per usual you have much greater vision than the other two buttcheekheads in here.

I think you're referring to the NRL and AFL when you say both codes have their problems. And yes, i agree. And i think at present the AFL is doing more to fix up their issues...and so they should be because they clearly have the worse problems of late. And my lovely researched argument explains quite well why that is :)

 now explain to everyone just how a sport can be racist TLPG

Oh and while you're at it give us your explanation how you've "exposed me as a racist" That might be even funnier to watch.

Comon now,hop to it ol chap. We're all waiting for your explanation

So all these other RL codes with Tongan and kiwi players, which are regularly racially vilified, are different to the NRLs Tongan and kiwi players, which are rarely racially vilified despite the evidence in the SOO just a few weeks ago? :-k
