The deciding factor, as far as the NRL go would of been getting rid of that first and last option clause Foxtel held. It will make future league rites far more attractive to any rival Pay TV companies.

Clearly it doesnt work that way.

Fact is the more games you would have shown the less money you would have got. You compromised on games for more money. Good for the league but bad for supporters.

Yep im really upset with 9 live games a week on fox and 4 on FTA. Im sure Swans, lions, suns, giants, eagles, dockers, Crows, Power supporters are unhappy with live coverage of their team every week on FTA!

I hope you have foxtel Dave! Otherwise you may only see your team 5 times this year on TV. and probably live once!

What other things were worth more than better FTA coverage nation-wide?

Some NRL fans are bragging that NRL games are worth more per minute. Why didnt the NRL just sell more games for more money if this calculation is so straight forward?
