this is something the NRL could agree too.. Games at HBF and blockbusters at OPTUS
double headers to inflate crowd figures.
let them work on trying to fill HBF park first with non double headers
NRL played there last year 2024 Roosters v Dolphins in a sold out HBF
I think you'll always get a decent crowd for a one off event - what will every second week be like?

for a 1 town city (i would expect better) Its only 12 games a year.
throw in 2 or 3 teams (that plummets) for R.L

Yeah - again - very fickle place re: support - if they win all will be good (and you can say that about any new sport there. If they aren't successful - there will not be support.
Diff re: Tassie and WA - Tassie were crying out for an AFL team.... WA people in the main couldn't care one way or another - the NRL want the team there.

ah no
its because AFL house has been threatening WA , like they have Tasmania Shitty
they are stand over mob bosses who think they run everything
but they haven't come across anyone like PVL , a tough lad who won't be pushed around by those singlet wearing fuckwits
this is the 5th story apparently in the last 6 months saying the deal is off
it isn't
it will happen
its going to be as funny as fuck when it falls over ******!
the all mighty National ****** League and its fearless leader beats his chest how wealthy the NRl is but has no money to fund expansion, Perth and one in a 3rd world of PNG
NRL has money to fund perth, no drama's (they just want a Good Stadium to see fit.)
Exactly what AFL are doing with Tasmania..
I find it interesting that PERTH wants to be a GLOBAL CITY (but has a Old Rectangle stadium)
NRL not really asking for much, PERTH wants to be a global city etc, but has a 2nd grade rectangle stadium with a capacity of 20k.. Cook your not looking at the bigger picture here mate
Would've thought HBF would suffice. IMO NRL should've expanded there 10 years ago

I agree , I think the insistence for HBF being upgraded to get a team is not required , we don't need to be stand over scum like fumbleball ,
HBF if it was in the NRL would be an OK venue , not the best , not the worst
And I have no doubt it gets an upgrade regardless in time

Big games that will easily outstrip HBF's 20K capacity ( aka the Warriors ) can be taken to Optus anyway
