I think averages are the right measure. However it does get hard to do this when games shown consecutively. But there will always be limitations for each code when doing this. The other question is what are we using ratings to measure? Is it as simple as more people watch on on tv in australia than the other or are we making inferences to popularity in australia.

I'm glad to see you agree on averages Fred, this time. The AFL have 9 matches per round Rugby League has 8 and a test match . Or 33ish FTA matches for the AFL to 31 for RL. Despite this Rugby League is in front.

You draw your own conclusion Fred, but in my book being watched by more people indicates that your more popular .

As per averages, always happy with this but know i would just include home and away for now. I know you disagree which is fine but let us not go around in that circle again lol

4 of the top 6 are AFL, and we've had 2 less rounds. Add to that the number 1 RL game isnt even NRL

The ol' cherry picker Caitlan..........what a dill. Maybe if you looked at the the whole list you would see that RL got 13 out of the top 22. In anyone's language that's a victory to RL.

What lies and spin have ya got for that ya buffoon?????

The AFL have 1 isolated game each round on Friday night, so after 8 rounds they could only realistically have 8 games in the top list. All the rest of the games are shown into a few cities each. Due to the NRLs Thursday games, and 2 extra rounds, the NRL have had about 18 isolated games in prime time.

Yet 4 of the AFLs 8 games make up the top 6 for both codes. Domination

Caitlan X.......Man.... you are the great cherry picking, spinning, Goebbels propagandist. Anyway you spin it the RL average per game is bigger than rabble balls and the total is only marginally less with 2 fewer teams. Your isolation argument is nothing but spin to cover the truth.

You my friend are the Chemical Ali of rabble ball zealots. You will say anything, do anything and spin anything for the great god rabble.......lololololol........what a dill.....LOLOLOL

Poor ol' Caitlan X.......Man caught out lying again. What a surprise!!!!!!! The table compares the first 7 rounds of both comps ya dill. It dosen't count RL's extra rounds. The total actually shows RL had 7 less games than rabble ball putting it at an aggregate disadvantage.

Your isolation spin is just a but but but excuse. RL has only 3 FTA per week up against the lot for rabble ball. You have 100% broadcast reach for each game whilst RL has only 35% for 5 out of 8 games. If the NRL had stuck with Dave Smiths original plan and have 4 FTA games a week your mob would be copping a bigger bathing.

Can you please stick to facts Caitlan.....not lies and spin...........big ask I know.
