Not me, but you should. Your season falls in a heap for week after week while SOO is on.
Our competition is affected at this time of year, All the leading players out. Doesn't say alot for your code though, beatin on Friday night

Beaten without secondary channels but not once they are included plus foxtel.
Plus ours is averaged over 3 hrs so it would rarely ever lose if they were both counted over the same time frame. If you too peak audience the AFL would smash the NRL every single time.
You only have to look at the attendances to see the difference. They AFLs are as strong as earlier in the season. The NRLs drop at this time of year every year. At the start of the year they were averaging 18-19k. Now they are dipping to 10-14k.

A league levels!

Just a quick perusal of that list vindicates why Foxtel pumped so much money into the AFL PTV rights.
Certainly the AFL is doing well on PTV unlike before.
Now the implication in all this is simple.
The NRL and the AFL wil struggle to get a good deal out of Foxtel next rights because
Foxtel have achieved their objective - to sign up viewers.
Of course Foxtel need the content to keep their viewers happy but the pressure is off to do such a good deal.
And of course they can now afford to play hardball and drop a bit of content if it doesn't pan out.

Wrong. Fn Was #NRL 602k (9) #AFL 565k (7) without secondary channels which the AFL have been winning by 50k or more. Add foxtel and it's a white wash

The average weeknds ratings for the NRL this year is 2,729k.
The average weekends ratings for the AFL this year is 3,965k.
These figures are without regionals. According to Roy Masters figures last year the NRL had an average of 1200k per round and the AFL about 800k.
So the AFL is ahead by a very tidy sum indeed of about 450k per round despite having only 5-6 games shown in isolation compared to the NRLs 7-8.
Easy!

The AFL have 5-6 exclusive games per round to the NRLs 7-8. Plus you throw in a longer season and rep games like SOO!
And we will still win by a country mile!

Your list means nothing as it doesn't account for concurrent games.
Further, subscription rates in NSW are around 40%, so payTV is available to approximately 2.9million NSW people. QLDs subscription rates are about 30% so 1.35million qlders have access.
AFL states have subscription rates around 25%, so that's around 2.7million people.
So the NRL heartland states have 4.25million subscribers and the AFL states 2.7million.
The NRL should completely dominate! Yet they don't, not at all. Sure, theyre ahead on the payTV ladder, but they have almost double the subscribers, yet when the AFLs concurrent games are added they well and truly even out the ladder.
Nice one!

XMan the people that fork out $billions for football rights couldn't give a F... about concurrent games. The only thing they will be interested in is that the NRL has 4 of the top 5 shows on PTV and (as of tommorrow) 4 of the top 5 show on FTA tv.

So your saying that the NRL with half as much coverage is behind by 450k a week regionals and metro combined?
If you ask me that's impressive for the NRL, if the NRL get anything near what the AFL has in coverage next year then its going to be a good year for us Rugby league lovers. :D
