The AFL from what I read, decided to reduce the match ups and scheduling in the hope of providing more free air time for AFLW. And why wouldn’t you focus something you’re still trialing and testing on a new demographic in your strongest heartland?

yeah the AFL have def back tracked on the idea
of the new version of the game..

I think theyve tried to consolidate the teams so each is filled with some stars, as opposed to last year when they had teams filled with average players. Fans would probably rather see stars even if it means they arent represented by their team

It’s gunna fail big time. Unfortunately, for the kiddies , they generally need adults to escort them along to games. And well, the concept has been absolutely thrashed to the shithouse by the vast majority of AFL fans outside of the bubbledwelling s on this Site. So well unfortunately I’d say it’s gunna be a mammoth stinker come game day.

AFL is solely about club footy, the code has never expanded further and the fans are generally ok with that. The adults would much prefer to take their kids to see their squad run around in a trial match, see some of the up and coming talent and the players they’re keen on. Aflx can’t possibly do that, it’s perhaps the most far fetched dumbest promo idea I’ve seen in pro sport, circus freaks and all



But sporty still sees it as a.... wait for it ... “master stroke”

The unending promotion of rape and violence could be a masterstroke from the NRlilL.
Because the kids do love that shit.
Think of Grand theft Auto, Fortnight and all these game that include all that and more. And millions of kids playing them.
I struggled to see the genius.
My eyes are now open.
The AFL are barking up the wrong tree with their AFLX.

fair point sporty. Violent and offensive computer games mean kids now days are so desensitised to crime, so they'll probably relate to the NRL's issues. A master stroke indeed
