Australian Open Men's Final remains the highest-rating program in 2017, with 3.64m national (2.69m 5 city metro / 951k regional).

Also, the 2016 AFL Grand Final had 4.132m national (3.081m 5 city metro & 1.051m regional).

Considering the money Nine pay, it's exclusive, it was on their main channel in every market...

Check your figures fumbler. Brisbane v Cowboys where the highest rating Grand final in 2015 and Origin 2? was the highest rating match in this country.

he might be thinking metro. where the AFL did win out over all NRL and Origin fixtures that year. NRL GF did beat the AFL GF overall - by 7,000 in the Aus ratings + 140,000 in NZ. Origin 2 did definitely come out on top.
