The No.1 Football Code in Australia
Rubbish. The money for the CLUBS is in memberships - and attendances! RL does not dominate in TV. On a nationwide scale, AFL is winning. RL only rates in two states out of the six, and the regionals DON'T MATTER to advertisers. The advertising money is primarily in Sydney and Melbourne, and on TV the AFL is winning the combined battle.

Those 4 new sports programs started before Murdoch came on the scene. Whether any of them are there next season including the new NRL programs remains to be seen.pussycat wrote:Your right, though he was terminated because he was doing a piss poor job. They wer'nt making money. Both Packer and Murdoch both know Rugby League makes money.Beaussie wrote:ONE HD also launched another 2 new AFL shows this season bringing it to 4 AFL shows on the channel. As we now know, that meant nothing when it came to bidding for the AFL rights. Remember the guy who was head of Ten/ONE HD when the sports programming was being pursued has now had his employment terminated since Murdoch came on the scene. Coincidence? I think not.pussycat wrote:Ch.7 have said they will bid. Only Time Wll tell if they are serious.
Two new RL programs have recently started on One. Seems a strange thing to do if there trying to shut it down.
Arn't you contradicting yourself? If 4 new sports programs have been recently put on One why would you think ther thier to shut One down?

Please feel free to point out any week, yes any week where the NRL has outrated the AFL nationally in 2011, 2010, 2009 or 2008. Comon, we're waiting.pussycat wrote:We both know the AFL get more fans to the games . It's An undisputable fact, so stop repeating it. Even without using the 'bogus' regional figures they beat the AFL every week there a test or origin game. And that regardless of the fact that they only currently have half as many matches on FTA.Beaussie wrote:Please feel free to point out any week, yes any week where the NRL has outrated the AFL nationally in 2011, 2010, 2009 or 2008. On Pay TV they slaughter you every week.
James Paker first took a large stake in C10 in Oct of 2010, before selling half his stake to Lachlan later that same month.

And secondly let me set this fukkin shite straight. Both beaussie and pussycat are correct in this instance. Beaussie is right, only to the extent that the AFL beats league in every normal round of play in the TV ratings. Pussycat is also right that "even without the regional figures the NRL wins every time there is a test or origin match regardless of the fact that League has only half as many matches on FTA."
In this instance Pussycat wins by a thumping knockout because he never made a fool of himself and stated beaussies figures were wrong he just provided a valid argument to suggest that Beaussie wasnt telling an important part of the story.
TLPG once again has set his balls on a desk in front of a man with a mallet because he cries pussycat is wrong when he's not. While me thinks Beaussie is once again scampering madly through internet sites to find his next statistic which can be read as a success story for the AFL... ... the topics dont change and the saga continues.

No wrong again. Look at the figures for crying out loud. As for your final point, wrong again. There are 4 FTA AFL games per round and 3 NRL FTA gamers per round. Good to see you've finally admitted the regional figures are 'bogus' though.pussycat wrote:Even without using the 'bogus' regional figures they beat the AFL every week there a test or origin game. They are adding that because they know that without it, thugby would be even worse off in both attendances and ratings! It'd drop like a stone! Remember that the AFL has NO rep games in their figures, and yet the AFL is more than competitive!Beaussie wrote:Since when are test matches or origin games part of the NRL?King-Eliagh wrote:And secondly let me set this fukkin shite straight. Gee, I wonder just how committed the NRL is to club footy, huh?

Regionals are not Bogus. It's only people who live in a fantasy worlds who cannot accept them. People who like to bury there head in the seand and pretend they dont exist because they dont fit into your fantasy 'Never, Never land' point of view. But this is the real world, people from Newcastle, Woolongong etc buy groceries, cars and go on holidays. ie There just like the rest of us! Advertising dollars are directed towards them, just like the rest of us. They don't take regional ratings for something to do. The AFL might like to ignore these figures but the TV networks are well aware of them

TLPG - Beaussie Test Matches and SOO's ARE Rugby League
Secondly less FTA games for Rugby League. Pussycat makes a fine point which you bitches cant handle.
The pair of you need to grow some nuts and stop crying when fair points are made. You're both acting like a pair of whining donkeys. And its somewhat hypocritical yet well within reason that I, the King, need to tell you pair to GROW UP!
Yeah that's right Peanut and Bearthur/Lord of the peanut, act your age!
