because its a stand alone event shown in prime time and representing 2 states. If the AFL GF was prime time it would smash the SOO
Why the huge drop in ratings for the SOO?

so you think the change to 7 mate isnt a reason? Or the fact that 6 of 10 FN games involve the team that is 18th?

Fri TV #NRL #NRLPanthersEels Nine 457k (Syd 323k Bri 133k) GEM 26k (Mel 17k Ade 1k Per 8k) = 483k
Fri TV #AFL #IndigenousRound #AFLSwansBlues Seven 412k (Mel 320k Ade 92k) 7mate 176k (Syd 63k Bri 33k Per 80k) = 588k
Another thumping when single games go head to head. Do you need any more proof throwballers?

We dont mind dropping a few ratings over the Origin rounds. we've got the 3.64m , the other night to console ourselves with.
Xman, Origin takes the focus of our home and away rounds

How much does it drop your ratings? You got slaughtered by another dull AFL game showing Carlton being thrashed again, the 6th time out of 9 Friday nights. If you cant beat the AFL in a head to head with that match up you've got more problems than SOO
