So when the bbl wraps up in a couple weeks after taking a battering and unable to last more than 1/6th of the aleague season....what comp is going to carry the anti aleague alliance of tyranny for the next 3 months?

NBL anyone?

30 minutes after the final people won't remember who won the bbl, whoever wins the Asian Cup will be champions for 4 years.

Outrated? The 100's of millions that watched the Asian Cup? Is smaller than who watched the BBL? I call bullshit on that one.

and that right there is everything that is wrong with soccer in Australia. Too busy looking at the sports profile overseas to realise that its fighting it out for fifth place between tbe NBL and rugby union for relevance.

Fun fact: the BBL was also watched in England, South africa and new zealand AT least. New Zealand BBL figures are far greater than your aleague, and it seems the Asian Cup wasnt even shown there. Even better, the game was shown in cricket mad India and Pakistan. We dont know the ratings for those...and you know why? because Cricket is secure enough in itself not to put out press releases advertising its own reach for the socceroos game, or bullshit figures based on potential audience that arent grounded in reality.

30 minutes after the final people might well forget who won the BBL, but its better than never knowing who won the Asian Cup or the fucking Aleague at all.
Why would NZ. Show the Asian cup they aren't in that confederation? The ratings for the Asian cup are relevant to Asia, hence why they are posted.

The simple fact is people will know who wins the Asian cup, and they will care, as the 100's of millions who have watched the tournament so far show.

Don't get your knickers in a twist wookie, just because football is stuffing up your outdated world view.

Wookie, you really do think that it was moved to get away from AFL and the NRL? It may have been a reason but it wasn't the reason. The reason was always to align ourselves with the European schedule, the A League knows we are a feeder league to Europe, it is significantly better for our teams and players to be moving at the right time and for us to bring in players during transfer windows.

Poor sokka ,to have some relevance in this country they need a domestic comp that is up against no other sport .
When they do go head to head they get obliterated.
Lol .
& don't the hooligans get upset when reminded about it.

Soccer also relies on flat medium cut grass surfaces which become sparse during the winter for clubs that share grounds with other codes

But as expected the bbl came and flew by like it wasnt even there, rushed a long in a month like the novelty competition it is. CA wouldnt dare make it a yr long competition it would end up like the sheffielf shield.

CA budgeted for 500k ticket sales for their world cup as well...what a smashing it would be if australias national past time got out-attended by evil soccer lmao

.
...face ze facts, soccer is king, summer is forever ours!
