Wow, the 7,000 barrirer broken. Membership numbers ramping upwards now as we get closer to the season start. Well done Giants. =D> =D> =D>

GWS move up the membership rung with still two weeks to the blockbuster start of the season.
And dave, nobody cares were they came from. They've paid their money.
The way I figure it.
If the GWS get 33k to the opening game . Then their season average will be 3K.
If 7k members attended the remaining 10 games then their season average will 10k.
That would be deemed as successful as a rl club.
But of course that's a very conservative view.
Openning game should see about 40k.
Members 7k atm should rise to 9k~10K.
Opposition teams should supply say 3k~5k.
The only down side are possibly the Canberra games with GWS being a new team.
This could be balanced by Canberrans seeing GWS as their team rather than identifying in part with the Swans.
This could culd also boost the Sydney games as there'l be more concentrated.
