even if essendon have 13k non-ticketed members, they have another 42k who are
what were parramatta's(supposedly sydney's biggest club) results? 11k ticketed and over 9k non-ticketed? correct me if im wrong, but i know what i'd rather if it was a choice between that and the 16k ticketed at wsw which doesn't include their waiting list either
You have a link to the parramatta membership results?
it was the news article from the DT that was accompanied with the pic along with it. i probably posted in this thread and other areas of the forum about 50 times...not even going to lie, got plenty of mileage out of that one
it was 11(or 12)k ticketed
if parra have over 20k members as eelsy says they do then you put two and two together...

And I said and have been saying don't you think it strange that every other team in every other comp in this country sells memberships for everything yet this mob doesn't.
Fishy comes to mind esp when they continually say 14-15 and 16k are sell outs at Parramatta stadium when we all know it holds at least 19,500.

probably because no other team plays in such a small stadium and sell as many season tickets as the wanderers
if you have 16k people taking up season tickets - that's access to every home game then it limits the amount of 3 and 6 game memberships you can sell
they don't share home games with anz like the eels do so they have to make do with the 19k at pirtek. you also have to take into account the 1-2,000 away seats they have to give other fans(depending on the importance of the match) leaving the potential capacity of the place without including season tickets at like 1-2k. 1-2k for walkups and multi game passes. not a lot of room left at all
with it getting expanded this year it will probably allow them to increase their cap
your looney conspiracy theory is probably one of the dumbest things ive read on here

MV and SFC haven't updated their #'s since Thursday and we both had our fan days on the weekend so i expect a decent boost from both, MV should be well over 20k and hopefully we get 10.5-11k ourselves.
ultimately, to have 4 teams pass the 10k mark is a record for us. At the current rate, City should also pass 10k sometime during the early part of the season and hopefully so will the Jets provided they actually perform on the pitch.
We're tracking at about 9,000 memberships ahead of where we were at last season - and the season started earlier last year too.

no its not fishy, that that if from people who buy season long memberships. as the NRL sells more memberships this will happen more often.
it happens often at my teams Essendon home games at Etihad often they will sell out the stadium but the recorded attendance is only around 44k now days, the club has 60k members, when you throw in the stadium has its own memberships, Access one, Medallion club, Diamond club & the cooperate suits
its a pity because the the actual capacity is rarely reached, but the clubs & stadiums do make a lot out of those membership packages

yeah i kinda hate it when season ticket holders and stadium members dont always turn up to games
ive been a season ticket holder at my club since day 1 and i try not to miss any game under any circumstance because you get what you pay for in the end...just seems a waste to me to pay for all home games and end up missing a few games every season for whatever reason
thats why wsw sold out a lot of games last season even though the official attendance was only 15-16k because you will always have some season ticket holders not turning up...genuinely you can only guarantee that they will make an appearance for the biggest games like they derby for instance.
then there are stadium members who are fans of other codes that have no interest in your own code or another one so don't show up even if it's a big game and they get free access. another reason why the derby at allianz was sold out at 40k when the capacity is 44k, lots of SCG trust members at allianz that are only fans other other codes wont turn up unless they want to

This season so far vs last season at the exact same time
Melbourne Victory: 20,494 +994
WS Wanderers: 16,530 +563
Brisbane Roar: 10,713 +5,060
Sydney FC: 10,222 +809
Melbourne Heart: 8,559 +3,215
Newcastle Jets: 7,663 -337
Adelaide UTD: 6,374 +1,267
Perth Glory: 4,506 +112
CC Mariners: 4,313 -705
Wellington: 3,105 +105
TOTAL: 92,479 + 11,350
Huge increase from last season already. Disappointing effort from the Mariners aside, every club has either been stable or have had a huge increase vs last year. This is gonna be the biggest season for our code ever
